Spent the week working up at Springbush FEI just out of Auckland in Hunua. Was Assisting Tich Massy one of New Zealand’s top FEI course Designers.

We were running 5 tracks from 80cm up to 3*Short. Was great to work along side Tich and help him with getting the courses ready. He takes real pride in his work and it was awesome to be involved with it.

Springbush is pretty special, it’s based at Tich’s family farm and the house looks out over the XC course. A bit of a dream set up for crazy horse people like myself.

The tracks were really well set up and challenged the riders to think and ride positive. Distances were set on lovely forward strides and combinations set up to get riders thinking.

Final delivery of the year out to Belfast Pony Club. Whole bunch of wee 65cm fences 🤩🥳

Back on my feet after a hectic few weeks!! Spent 4 days in Taupo attending the FEI Seminar. This is a course that all FEI officials must attend in order to keep their current qualifications or gain upgrades to the next level. I attended to gain my Level 2 FEI Course designers upgrade. I was lucky enough to pass making me one of a very few designers in the country with this qualification or higher (I also believe I must just about be the youngest in the world 😅)

I then flew up to Auckland to take part in the building of some new MiM table tops at Tich Massey’s farm in Hunua. These are the first of their kind in the country, the dream being we’ll bring some down to the South Island in the new year for Nationals.

Was a very busy week, but some incredible learnings at both. Was inspirational to see where the sport is heading and knowing I can play a little part in that bright future. Was awesome making some great new connections around the world and am excited to see where I can take it in the future 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇦🇺

Been an incredibly busy couple of weeks designing and building for both Amberley Pony Club and now this weekend at my favourite Eyreton Pony Club 💙

5 tracks at eyerton from 65cm-110cm, 9 brand new fences built! The tracks are looking fantastic, the ground is brilliant and the decorating team have done a wonderful job bringing everything to life 💐🌲

Good Easter weekend of building ⚒️

Got another set finished for Hinterland Springston Trophy 2024

And had a play with a new 3* skinny 😎

All ready for some paint, then onto the next 👌😮‍💨

Been a big couple of weeks getting the FEI 2* in place out at Dunstan Fiber Fresh NEC - Christchurch. Really pleased with how the track has come together, there’s some really cool new fences I’ve built and it covers some great ground. Excited to see the combinations have some fun over what should be a really rewarding track 🦄

Bit of a fun weekend. Went over to Staya 🇦🇺🦘 to catch up with Todd Magner and Elizabeth Wylaars and ended up spending some time walking around the course at Warwick One Day.

Was great to walk some more tracks and take notes on where international trends are heading. Have a look at fence construction and just see a bit of the Australian countryside 😎

Also made a very important visit to Australia Zoo, making sure all the animals were in good spirits 🥹

-Black Pipes are another fence for Hinterland Springston Trophy 2024 🤩🥳

-Log triple bar is a rebuild down at Eventing Canterbury for our March FEI 2*

-And we delivered the new corners out there at the same time 😎
