We are a greyhound rehoming kennel for retired racers. We prepare these beautiful greys for the agencies to take for adoption.

We work in with 4 rehoming agencies, Greyhounds as pets, KiwiKiwi hounds, May hounds and Nightrave greyhounds.

While our page has taken a bit of a break, behind the scenes it’s been business as usual - lots of long noses, wagging tails and plenty of greyhounds keeping us busy 🐝 and happy 🥹

There have been a few changes along the way and we’re now proudly working alongside the Greyhound Transition Agency (GTA) but here in Rangiora we’re still doing what we’ve always done - welcoming greyhounds as they come through retirement, getting to know each one, completing their assessments and preparing them for life beyond racing 🏁. We continue to do this for hounds heading to the three of New Zealand’s rehoming agencies - Greyhounds As Pets NZ, Nightrave Greyhounds New Zealand and May Hounds Charitable Trust - Greyhound Rehoming Group - who continue their journey towards finding their forever homes 💜

We said goodbye to our "Cheeky bu**er" 😆😆🥰 Johnny over the weekend! Greyhounds As Pets NZ found his family, after waiting ever so patiently to be picked, we were all over the moon 🫶🏼 🌕 This lad is alot of fun and is such a kid at heart ❤️ We will miss you and how you expected everyone to be on "Johnny time" IYKYK - Mr easily distracted 101.
Greyhounds are the most amazing pets and Johnny is another prime example. He is perfection.

Today we said goodbye to our precious Echo - 20 years young, and 20 years of love, loyalty, and the biggest personality you could imagine.
💔💔 That urge of needing to turn back time but knowing the impossibility of it, it's sickening.

Echo wasn’t just a cat. He was Calum’s first pet as a young adult, you know the one who taught him about unconditional love long before any of us came along. He was there through every chapter - Helping raise Calum’s kids, and later, our little Harper. He is such a love bug to children 💕💕

Echo helped SO many greyhounds transition from racing life to couch life. He was their calm, their teacher, and their gentle reminder that home is a safe place and not to F**K with cats. He ruled our world with sass, wisdom, and love - always reminding everyone who was really in charge. We will miss your scratches and bites especially us tripping over you - I never thought I'd say that 😏

Our hearts are broken. Echo spent 20 years of loving Calum, and Calum will spend the rest of his life missing him. As will we.

That meow. IYKYK. We would do anything to hear that again 😼😼😼

Rest easy now, beautiful boy. Thank you for every purr, every lesson, and every heartbeat you shared with us. 🪽

Welcoming Lil 💕🥹
Her heart is pure 🤍, that eye liner on fleek 💅 and her coat is as soft as a cloud ☁️ and we are completely wrapped around her little finger already.

Welcoming 2 black beauties ✨️ 🖤
Bubbles 🫧 and Fantail 🐦 have just entered rehoming. We cannot wait to learn all about them 🤩 so far fantail is showing she's a quiet wee soul, quietly observing you and bubbles is rather happy go lucky lass who is up for a cuddle or 3.

✨️3 beautiful boys off an adventures ✨️

💛 Golden boy mike has officially headed off into his forever home through Greyhounds As Pets NZ. He truly is just a big Bubba and we are. gonna miss him so much. Mike is the definition of calm, kind and quietly goofy, the sort who leans in for a cuddle that could melt anyone. He looks for a deep connection and is the most loyal.lad around 💛...A true gentle giant with a large heart to match 💫

💙 Rhino’s the kind of boy who just radiates happy energy, his tail’s always wagging, his grin’s always wide, and he’s never met a human he didn’t instantly love 💙
He’s off into foster care with May Hounds Charitable Trust - Greyhound Rehoming Group where we know he’ll keep spreading that same joy. Our wiggly blue boy 💫 He will join Olive, lexi and shadow.

🖤Buddy’s the quiet cheeky one who somehow makes you laugh and melt at the same time...a total lovebug with a sparkle in his eyes and a zoomie always on standby 🖤
He’s also off to foster care with Mayhounds aswell! learning the ropes of home life and no doubt charming everyone around him 💫

We’ve been a little quiet on here lately, but busy behind the scenes in the last month.

💚 Warm welcomes
We’re excited to have some new faces join us - Martha, Brandy, Buster, Berry, Shady, Razor, Rhino and Mike 🫶🏼 Each of them has already brought so much personality and love into the kennels 😍

💕🇺🇸 We also said goodbye to four beautiful hounds - Moonie, Iris, Edmund and Quinn - as they set off on their USA adventure - First stop the Levin kennel base. It was bittersweet, but we know they are headed towards amazing homes with wonderful teams supporting them every step of the way🫶🏼🫶🏼

🐾👫Friendly visits
We had the sweetest visit from Rangiora hound Otis 🥰 and also got to spend time with Shadow and Lexi from Mayhounds South Island (also Rangiora hounds) when they collected a foster dog. Always so special seeing familiar faces.

✨Last weekend Sandy and Lisa attended an event alongside KiwiKiwi Hounds Adoption , and this weekend brought something extra special - Lisa has officially found her forever family! Happy tigerrrrrrr 💕 with sandy girl lined up for a potential match 🤩 thank you Kiwikiwi Hounds Group.

💜 We also watched a very special hound, Izzy, head into a very special home where we all share a deep connection 🥰 thank you May Hounds Charitable Trust - Greyhound Rehoming Group.
