Trevalda Irish Sporthorses, breeders of quality Irish horses, and standing purebred RID stallion, Ballineen Blue Mountain (Brian). Brian was imported from the UK in 2011, and comes with Grade One status with the Irish Horse Society of Great Britain. Our aim is to breed REAL quality Irish Sporthorses to compete in the saddle hunter rings, but who are as equally competitive in any of the olympic dis

ciplines, and as field hunters. We have a carefully selected band of broodmares, warmblood, TB and Irish. These mares have been chosen for conformation and temperament to compliment Ballineen Blue Mountain and the foals we have on the ground are testament to us having the right formula. We quite often have young stock for sale, so just contact us with your needs. All horses are professionally handled and started under saddle here at Trevalda and you can see an ever increasing number of quality Irish sporthorses throughout the country competing under the 'Trevalda' prefix, that are giving their new owners much joy and success, which is what we love to see. Derrynasagurt Silver standing in Canterbury again this season at Wai Eyre Farm. Fresh chilled semen available Nationwide in New Zealand and Australia. Silver is an outstanding Class 1 son of Fast Silver (Class 1 Gold Merit stallion) and out of a Class 1 mare Tana's Queen. Class 1 can only be gained in Ireland or the UK. Class 1 stallions have been 5 stage vetted, temperament and type assessed, performance tested on the flat and over fences. Silver attained Class 1 at just 3 years of age and all of the qualities approved have flowed through into the stunning mature stallion he is today. Want proven warmblood quality movement and ability but with a bit of extra bone, soundness and trainabilty... then Silver is your man.

Well, Winter has certainly made a come back today and the sheep have decided that today we will start lambing! 🤦‍♀️ Thats me over and out for the next 6 weeks or so 🐑. In the meantime (whilst I was trying to stay inside and look busy) I finished a little project I've been working on in my head for a while. 💜🤍🖤

What a great day!
So nice to get the horsetruck out of the shed (after charging the batteries, thanks Gavin) and heading to Alexandra to get Lordy measured. Thanks to Maureen and her team who make it all very easy. Thanks to Malisa for holding Lordy while I got the paperwork done. Next door, the Dunstan Adult Riding Club were having a rally day and kindly let us join in. Thanks Alistair & Gabrielle! It was lovely to meet some new people and Lordy was just awesome for his first outing. A nice day out with my horse to break the gloom of Winter ☘️

I've been out walking in the mornings trying to get fit for the coming season (actually so I can fit into my show jacket)!

A cool minus 10 here this morning!
Cold mornings but beautiful sunny afternoons means I've been able to get two horses ridden after work, two days in a row. 👏
