Trevalda Irish Sporthorses, breeders of quality Irish horses, and standing purebred RID stallion, Ballineen Blue Mountain (Brian). Brian was imported from the UK in 2011, and comes with Grade One status with the Irish Horse Society of Great Britain. Our aim is to breed REAL quality Irish Sporthorses to compete in the saddle hunter rings, but who are as equally competitive in any of the olympic dis

ciplines, and as field hunters. We have a carefully selected band of broodmares, warmblood, TB and Irish. These mares have been chosen for conformation and temperament to compliment Ballineen Blue Mountain and the foals we have on the ground are testament to us having the right formula. We quite often have young stock for sale, so just contact us with your needs. All horses are professionally handled and started under saddle here at Trevalda and you can see an ever increasing number of quality Irish sporthorses throughout the country competing under the 'Trevalda' prefix, that are giving their new owners much joy and success, which is what we love to see. Trevalda Mountain Storm is turned out using my favourite 🐝The Honey Trap products 🐝
He is sponged over daily with 'Diamond Luxe Oil Conditioner', washed with 'Bright White Shampoo' and toned with 'Glow White Shampoo'. His tail is conditioned with 'Elite Conditioning Mask'. His legs are sparkly white with 'Whitening Chalk'. My gear is beautiful and soft and supple with 'Leather Witch' and my sore aching body is held together 'Magnesium Body Butter'.

First show for the season - South Canterbury A&P Show.
Very rusty Zak and I! Forgot how much scrubbing it takes to get him clean, forgot how thin I have to pull his mane to get decent plaits, forgot how long it takes to get ready, forgot how to ride... but fortunately the pretty pony did his thing.
Champion Saddle Hunter, Supreme Champion Paced and Mannered Horse and Supreme Champion Horse.
Nice to be out there doing what I love, with the pony I love and catching up with like minded folk.

What a s**t Spring we've had, wind, wind and more wind! But.. yesterday was a perla, no wind and hot.
Mr Zak is now back in work after a 10 day break where he's got a bit porky, but we will be working hard over the next couple of weeks getting ready for Christchurch Royal Show.
Looking forward to finally getting back out there!

Bloody horses! I've been waiting months for this first show to come around (Ashburton next weekend) but it looks like we will be a non starter.
Zak 🦄 has been sore on one of his front feet, so today I removed the shoe and gave it a good soak. It was clearly visible that one of the nails when removed had been weeping. Nobody's fault, it wasn't a high or deep nail, its just one of those things.
Lucky I had a The Honey Trap Hoof Bomb 🐝 in my kit, and I was able to give it a good soak and boot it up ready for a re-fit of the shoe on Tuesday.
Feeling pretty gutted, but there are way worse things to worry about, like all of those poor people that have been affected by this weeks weather! 😢
