Hi all,

Just a reminder that David will be back our way in just 1½ months!

If you are interested in having your saddle fitted or trying a saddle, please register your interest as soon as possible!

David needs some notice to organise trial saddles, so if you are hoping to try a new saddle, don’t leave it until the last minute!

To book a fitting, just send me a message with the number of horses/saddles and your preferred morning or afternoon time, and I will be in touch!

GUINEA PIG NEEDED! 😂

If like me, you’ve had the Equisk training bands popping up all over your Facebook feed for the past few weeks and have been tempted to order them… I would love to hear what you think!

I finally gave in and ordered a set...
They arrived 2 weeks ago… and they’ve been sitting on my desk ever since!

Rather than letting them look messy in our lounge for the next few weeks or possibly months, I thought I would give you all the chance to try them out before committing to buying your own set!

Book our arena next week and borrow my brand new set of Equisk bands completely free!

A bit has been happening at Nolran!

Our contractors have been very busy all week and if you have visited us recently you will have noticed that the property looks a little more chaotic than usual!

We are working on a few upgrades, starting with a new shed for Hamish’s tractor.
This will also include a large covered area, which will be great for keeping us all dry and out of the mud on wet days. Hopefully our farriers and vets will appreciate it too!

We are also finally getting a proper parking area done at the arena and we still can’t believe how much work ( and cost sadly 😂 ) goes into something that seemed so simple!

With all these improvements happening, I will also need to make a small increase to my arena hire prices once the work is completed.

And last but definitely not least… our dressage arena is finally getting another makeover! This should be very exciting news for all our Nolran grazers!

I’m very thankful and happy to have such a fabulous and trustworthy group of horse owners.

We currently have no grazing vacancies but please feel free to contact me anytime if you would like to use our facilities.

Hi all,

I didn’t want to advertise too early but spring is coming fast and it’s time to start pre book your spot!

I’m thrilled to have David Jones- Parry back our way on Thursday 1st October.
After his first Queenstown visit, where he very generously offered exceptionally low rates, David has had to review his pricing.

The new rates will be :

- $110- 1 horse/ 1 saddle
- $75 – same horse / second saddle
- $150- Trial saddle ( covers freight both ways )
- $20 – Fuel surcharge per person

To book your spot, please message me directly with :
- your preferred time ( morning or afternoon ) & number of horses and saddles

The evenings will be much lighter by then! I will confirm individual session times closer to the date.

Looking forward to welcoming David back to Nolran

My spot the cat game is back! 😛

If you have a cat, you'll know how stressful it can be when they are booked for the vet... and suddenly they are nowhere to be found!...

Most people probably don't take their cat on holiday but because our kitten has grown up between 2 homes, we take him to Southland with us too!

We recently found out just how frustrating it is when it's time to drive back home and he is nowhere to be seen!...

How long will it take you to spot the little bu**er!

Winter grazing at Nolran might actually be one of the best times of the year to be here!

While many places turn very muddy over winter, we are lucky to live in a sunny and fairly dry area that still allows horse owners to keep enjoying riding through the colder months.

These cold evenings are honestly my favourite time of the day to ride under floodlights!
Photos never quite capture how peaceful and beautiful it feels, especially once the night skiing starts!

We still have one or 2 winter or long term grazing spots available, including a paddock with its own shed and private tack room.

With a couple of our summer grazers now gone, we will soon have space to welcome a few new horses.

As we are away quite often, I’m open to flexible arrangements including grazing only or discounted options for someone able to help in the morning when needed! Please note I am no longer offering full livery services.

Part livery from $110 + GST ( $126.50 )

Saddle fitting – Last chance TODAY

Today ( Friday afternoon ) is your last opportunity to book a saddle fitting while David is in Queenstown ( he won’t be back this way for another 6 months )

He also has a Wintec 500 close contact in 17.5 available from his South Island trip so before he sents it back, I thought I would share in case anyone is considering a Wintec fitted to their horse.
He has kindly kept his usual rates for this visit ( despite normally fitting 50+ horses per trip ) so this is a last chance to take advantage before prices increase next time!
