Today, we would like to pay tribute to the former owner of Queenstown Best for Pets, Kay.

Kay has recently finished her journey with the business here in Queenstown, where she dedicated so much of her time and love to fostering numerous dogs and helping them find their forever homes. Her compassion and commitment have changed the lives of so many animals and the families who welcomed them.

Now, Kay has taken her passion even further and is in Thailand, where she is helping rescue dogs and cats through Lanta Animal Welfare. Her dedication to animal rescue is truly inspiring, and we admire her immensely.

Kay is a wonderful person, both inside and out, and we are incredibly proud of everything she has achieved and continues to do for animals in need.

Today we want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing customers ❤️

Because of your orders through Queenstown Best for Pets, we were able to donate chicken and beef broth to Vadas Angel Rescue Tauranga to help sweet Duncan on his recovery journey.

Duncan has sadly suffered terrible neglect, and every little bit of support helps him heal and regain strength. Knowing that our small business — together with our wonderful customers — can make a difference to dogs like Duncan means the world to us.

💜 Duncan Update 💜

We are so happy to say that after 5 days on IV fluids Duncan is now completely hydrated internally 🥹🙌

Although externally his little body still shows signs of dehydration, that will come right with time and proper nutrition. The biggest win is that all of his tests are coming back great and his kidneys are working exactly like they should be 💜
Whoop whoop 🙌

Duncan has also gained 500 grams already, which is absolutely perfect with careful refeeding 🥰

We are starting to see little sparks of his personality coming through now and honestly… it is the cutest thing ever. My personal favourite part is watching his ears slowly start standing up more each day 😭💜

He still isn’t the biggest fan of drinking water on his own though, so we were wondering where everyone buys their bone broth from? Sadly we just don’t have the time to make our own at the moment, but would love recommendations for good ones dogs love 🐾
