Pāuatahanui Pony Club Pāuatahanui Pony Club is based at the beautiful Battle Hill Farm Forest Park on Paekākāriki Hill Road. We welcome new members!

We are a friendly, family orientated club offering instruction on riding and horse/pony management with qualified coaches. We are a friendly club with one common goal - to ride our horses! We are lucky enough to have custom built Clubrooms for our riders to meet, display their achievements, study for certificates as well as hang out with each other. We have lovely grounds where space is not an iss

ue and riders can gain confidence in riding in a large open area over a range of terrain. We offer fabulous qualified coaching support and run rallies year round! As of 2021 we are a club without branches - this means we ride as team at competitions and also means we can adapt our rallies to cater for all riders, not just competitive riders.

🤩🤩🤩 PPC Alumni on the world stage 🤩🤩🤩

We at Pauatahanui Pony Club were incredibly excited to hear the announcement of the New Zealand team for the FEI World Championships in Aachen in August this year, with two familiar PPC names!

A huge congratulations to Sophie Scott (2026 ESNZ Rider of the Year), riding Normandy GHP, who has been selected to represent New Zealand in the Show Jumping team following some incredible results in Europe, and Tayla Mason, riding Centennial, who has been named as a reserve for the Eventing team.

Both of these incredibly talented riders began their equestrian journeys locally, with hours of fun at Pauatahanui Pony Club making the most of everything our club has to offer - from Mounted Games Teams to Show Hunter Championships, as these “blast from the past” photos show!

We are so proud of all of our riders and the unique paths they take. Seeing Sophie and Tayla achieve this level of success is an inspiration to our entire club, and we hope their journeys encourage many more young riders to dream big and one day follow in their footsteps.

What a fantastic way to wrap up the season — celebrating the riders, the ponies, the achievements, and all the memories made along the way! 🐴💙

Huge congratulations to all our trophy winners, club reps, certificates gained and every member for their hard work and achievements this season. We’re so proud of everything you’ve accomplished. 👏🌟

A very special farewell goes to Amber Sceats, who after 7 wonderful years with PPC has headed off to university. Wishing you all the very best for this next adventure, Amber! 🎓💐

It's AGM time again and ours will be held on Thursday 21st May 6.30pm at our clubrooms at Battle Hill.

Everyone is welcome to attend (members you are expected to attend ) and we would appreciate you indicating your attendance on our event page.

A massive congratulations to our Wairarapa Wellington NZPCA Eventing Championships Team - 3rd overall - a massive achievement 🥉🥉🥉

They also won the skit trophy with their fantastic air WW safety act - we think air nz should hire them! 🌟🌟🌟

Special mention to Florence for her 6th placing individually in the JP division, and Savannah for her composite team’s 5th placing.

Honor, Ashleigh, Alana, Savannah, Florence and Charlotte - thank you for representing our club and area so well 💙
