WHAT YOU DON'T GET TO SEE...
After dropping your dog off and picked them up - styled, fluffy, soft and happy, you only get to see the tip of the iceberg.
You don't see me arrive early to open up my studio, sterilise tools, lay out fresh towels and check my diary. You don't see me look over your dog from nose to tail before i even lift a brush - checking the coat condition, skin, eyes, ears and nails.
You don't see the way i careful clip around a wriggly paw, or how i pause to let your dog be calm during their bath or styling. You may not have noticed a hidden matt behind their ears or beneath their topcoat, however, I will work slowly to remove it to avoid hurting the skin beneath.
You weren’t there when i spotted their irritated or inflammed skin, or a small lump you may not have noticed, however i will mention this to you at collection - not to worry you, but because i genuinely care about your dog’s wellbeing.
And after your dog is finished you don't see the clean-down, floor swept, table wiped, blades oiled, messages replied to, notes written up, reminders sent or the laundry done.
The truth is dog grooming is so much more than just a haircut!
It’s about health, hygiene, comfort, and trust. It’s about knowing the dogs anatomy, coat types, skin conditions, behavioural management, handling skills, safe sc******ng and clippering techniques. It’s a profession that takes training, practice, and patience.
I became a groomer because i love dogs. It's a physical, emotional, and a skilled job.
When your dog leaves happy, healthy and looking good - it’s not by luck! I have many years of experience and i am highly dedicated to my job.
So please alway remember i am doing far more than just washing and styling at each groom.
