This sweet 1.5-year-old English Bulldog was recently diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia after her pawrents noticed an unusual noise when she ran. Meet Maj, a beautiful soul who traveled from Tauranga for her first therapeutic massage session. With a full hip replacement in her younger years and FHO surgery later on, Maj’s dedicated fur-mum has built an incredible team of veterinary therapists to ensure she gets the very best care.

Despite her history, Maj is in fantastic health for her age—testament to the power of proactive care! In our session, we focused on easing compensatory muscle tightness, helping her move more freely and comfortably. Her mum also left with hands-on techniques to continue supporting her at home.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this work is the trust we build with each dog. Maj quickly recognized that I was listening to her subtle communication cues, allowing her to fully relax into the session. 🐾Meet Axel, the sweetest Labrador, enjoying some well-deserved relaxation with his favorite stuffed roast chicken! Axel is recovering from cruciate surgery, and therapeutic massage is playing a key role in his rehabilitation.💕

As an NBCAAM-certified canine massage therapist, I’m working with Axel to address fascia and scar tissue release, helping restore mobility and comfort. We’re also focusing on myofascial trigger points that have developed due to compensatory gait patterns—an important part of his recovery process.

To support him between sessions, I’m teaching his pawrents some simple massage techniques they can use at home. This helps reinforce the work we do and keeps Axel feeling his best!

This three-legged rescue wondermutt is proving that less is more in the world of canine massage!
🐶 Well actually she just prefers to be the demo dog! She takes her role as quality control officer very seriously, especially when it comes to ensuring her massage therapist’s skills are top notch! 🏆

Which leads us to Marisa; who relishes the responsibility of relaxing your pooch.

This beautiful girl is Kazzi 😍 She has joined us to work on her physical wellbeing after her family noticed she was trembling in the hindlimbs, was offloading after having a toe amputation, and was struggling to jump up and down off her favourite perch on the couch!
After a thorough veterinary checkup and diagnostics, she is now having regular therapeutic massages to promote her musculoskeletal health.
