It looks like we've got a spell of warmer weather on the way - please be mindful of leaving dogs in the car. The temperature rises MUCH faster than you think, even with the windows cracked open.

Top tips to avoid heat stroke:
โžก๏ธAvoid exercising your dog during the hottest part of the day
โžก๏ธCheck the footpath temperature before setting out on your walk
โžก๏ธEnsure there's plenty of shade and fresh water available for them
โžก๏ธDo not leave your dog in the car for ANY length of time

Two paddocks on a non-sentinel farm in Kopane recorded 75,000 and 110,000, and sentinel farms in Bulls and Matiere/Ohura were 35,000 and 45,000 respectively. The Ohau site at Levin has had three weeks at 15,000 to 20,000.

Spores ingested at these levels for several weeks will be affecting the liver even though you may not be seeing symptoms at this point.

All animals grazing paddocks at these levels should be protected with zinc whether by bolus, in the water, or in feed.
