Smith&Burton Groomteam NZ Travel to Adelaide for Dog’s SA Grooming Show

Our team had an incredible experience competing in the Do’gs SA Grooming Show in Adelaide. We’re proud to share that everyone featured in the top 5 in each category, with Amber Castle taking first place in the Poodle class! Absoluteky phenomenal work!!

We truly enjoyed connecting with the Australian grooming team, sharing stories, and having a great time together. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn, socialize, and celebrate our shared passion for grooming.

A special shout-out to my little Meena—she was an absolute angel to groom! I want to thank Tiarne Perkiss for helping me find such a gorgeous dog to work with, Marlene Stoppini for trusting me with her & allowingbme ton groom her, and Robert Lauder for assisting with pet taxi services to and from Sydney airport so Meena could fly to Adelaide.

Traveling with such a supportive and dedicated team made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Everyone helped each other with grooming, preparations, and managing the logistics—truly a fantastic team effort.

Looking forward to more adventures and competitions ahead!

Chilli visited us today for her first groom, and she was such a little star! We look forward to seeing you again Chilli.

Getting puppies used to their first groom at a young age is so important. It’s much easier to introduce them to the process early on, helping them feel comfortable and happy during future visits. Starting young makes all the difference!

This year’s show is held in memory of our dear friend John Hobbs, who dedicated much of his time and generously supported the club. John was renowned for his meticulous breeding programs and was successful in breeding the unique Chocolate Indian Runner Ducks.

Join us for a celebration of these beautiful birds and the passion that drives this club!
