•• 🐎 An Update From Me – Not the One I Hoped to Be Sharing🐎 ••
Apologies if I havent responded phone and 📧 emails.
After an amazing holiday, things took a sudden turn during my second ride back at work. I had a rotational fall — a complete miscommunication between horse and rider — and it was the scariest fall of my life. When I hit the ground and went to move, I realised I was completely paralysed.
After a pretty intense trip to hospital and a lot of uncertainty, the team found a popped disc in my neck resulting in some narrowing around my spinal cord. I’m incredibly lucky to be walking, but currently have limited movement in my arms and ongoing nerve pain in my shoulders. There’s hope things will improve with time, but surgery might be needed. For now, I’m stuck in this stylish neck brace for 6–8 weeks and out of the saddle for a while.
I’m so grateful for the amazing support I had at the time of the fall and from everyone around me since. We’re doing everything we can to make sure the horses at Jump Start continue to receive the absolute best care. I’m incredibly thankful for the people stepping in to help, including getting our current horses sorted — and even welcoming back a Jump Start old girl.
This unexpected downtime might give me a bit more space to focus on the media and planning side of things, but for now it’s all about rest, recovery, and working out what the road ahead looks like.
Thanks so much for all your kind messages and support — it means the world.
Ready for some super sexy photos 😂😂💤💤
