[email protected] My passion for horses started when my father brought my first pony at the age of three.

Being brought up in a racehorse family meant that horses was part of everyday life and I soon became a very competitive horse rider. I started Pony Club at five and have been apart of many teams events from Mounted Games to Springston Trophy's. From a young age I started eventing and show riding for Kathryn Kirk of Willowspring Stud. I was lucky to begin the training and first season under saddle

of the young ponies of Willowspring Stud and learnt very quickly how to get the best results in the training of young ponies to get success. I also rode for many other owners around New Zealand at various shows and events. I moved on to horses off the racetrack very quickly and before long was out competing in the hack ring at 15 years old. During my school holidays and weekends I would also work many long hours in the harness racing stables getting workout drives and going on to gain a National Certificate in Harness Racing in 2004. These hours in the stables taught me a lot about stable management, feeding requirements, training regimes and exceptional horsemanship skills. I further went on to train as a Veterinary Nurse and worked full time for 10 years in a Veterinary Clinic while successfully producing and competing many Show Hacks and Eventors from Thoroughbreds to Warmbloods.

Proud Mum moment today! 🤍

Isaac and Willowspring Limelight had their very first outing together in the Open ring — and wow… what a result!
For a rider who has only just come out of first ridden a few weeks ago, Isaac absolutely stepped up and achieved:

✨ Supreme Champion Pony
✨ Champion B Ring
✨ 1st Paced & Mannered

And for Archie — this was his very first show in the Open ring. As a 5-year-old novice pony who’s only been lightly competed in first ridden, he handled it all so well and really showed his potential.

So much to keep working on and plenty of room to grow — but what an incredible start to their journey together. So proud of them both 💫

Our yearling Eastdale Top Shelf had his first outing today at the South Island Premier Championship Show… and he blew us away.

All as a yearling competing against 2- and 3-year-olds!

We couldn’t be more proud of how he handled the atmosphere — such a bright future ahead.

My first outing for the season!
I’m usually busy sorting the kids on their ponies, so it was great to finally get out there on Exquisite — and bring home the flowers! 🌸 Always good to show the kids how it’s done (and that I’ve still got it 😉).

Happy little girl Madison-Rose winning her first garland and trophy today at Canterbury A&P Show taking our Champion Lead Rein Pony on Coroview Gift of Art. She also won her rider and the Pony Breeders Class. Thank you so much Sarah Fitzgerald for sponsoring the beautiful garland for the Lead Rein, so kind and very much appreciated!

Isaac also had a great day in the First Ridden too winning his rider, Paced & Mannered and Pony Breeders Class also.

Thank you so much Jason Paul McCullough for making it all possible and leading Maddy in her classes and to Kathryn Bennett for helping and grooming today.

Another awesome day at Ashburton A&P Show.
Exquisite won all her classes and took out Champion Hack.

Thank you so much to the Ashburton A&P Association for such a well run show and to Jason Paul McCullough for all his help over the last two days.

Off home now to do some Just Listed flyer drops on Traynor Lane property which came to the market a few days ago and also have a busy day with open homes tomorrow.
