Counting down the days until the first foal of the season!!
Lease mare “Bacardi” owned by my good friend Ranui McRoberts is the first due (this month) and has just started to bag up.
She’s a lovely young Gizzybred x Pintado Desperado mare who has already had a gorgeous buckskin filly foal to Oscar (HVP Moritz).
Oscar is pretty full up this Spring with 5 mares straight off the bat when I get him organised, but may consider taking more outside mares if there is serious interest. With working full time AI training is definitely in the pipeline for outside mares! Get in touch if you are interested in either a live serve or ai and I’ll see what I can do in a couple of months time.
Oscar is one of the best bred Clydie x Stationbred stallions in NZ being by Holden Kingston (Ngahiwi Station) out of a Glendevon Commander mare. At 7 years old and 16hh he is a chunky monkey with a fabulous nature. His oldest progeny have just started under saddle! He is producing super hunter types that are primarily buckskin! $950 LFG

Ultimate all round type by the one and only HVP Moritz. This young stallion is producing super hunter types, real old fashioned sensible NZ Stationbred Clydie x’s, they turn their hooves to anything! They are correct, built like brick sh*thouses with amazing brains on them plus they are actually talented, sound, sane and LOW maintenance! 😉
My Oscar foals are always the first to go, and have rave reviews from all owners. The only problem people have with them is they jump out 😂 The oldest is 3 now and proving to be super straightforward to start.
The added bonus is that this guy is a buckskin!!
I’ve met the mare and she is a super type and easy to deal with (I’d happily have her in my broodmare team). I’ve also met Mowgli and would have happily brought him home if I didn’t have his dad!!
This is the only Oscar foal available in the country at present so if your looking for a fun all rounder to put your own stamp on them he’s not one to over look 👀

"Highview Park" is based just above Outram in the foothills of the Maungatua's. Facilities include an all-weather arena, round pen, covered yards, 40acres of both small & large horse safe paddocks with electrics. I live on the property, and I work full time from here. Horses can be kept separate or grazed with others.
With 20+ years experience in horse sales & schooling, I have dealt with hundreds of horses and ponies, sold horses nationwide and to Australia, from foals in utero & at foot, to youngstock, pleasure horses, competition horses across all disciplines, schoolmasters ... you name it!
I have bred 30+ of our own foals and are well versed in how to match up mares & stallions to breed the right attributes in a foal, as well as how to care for mares & foals, birthing, early training, weaning, and handling as youngstock, right through to starting under saddle.
Pricing for sales and schooling is a set weekly rate, I do not take a commission. $220 per week for full service. Which includes grazing, hay, 1x daily hardfeed, 4-5 days p/w work and marketing/photos/video

I have competed my own self started and produced horses in SJ to 1.40m and Eventing (to what is now 3*). 30+ years of competition experience in a huge variety of equine pursuits; Dressage, Show Hunter, A&P showing, Hunter jumping, Hunting, Western, CTR & most other disciplines. I specialise in working with green horses, and helping them find their path to success in a discipline suited to their individualised attributes.
This year I am also standing at stud my homebred stallion "Oscar" HVP Moritz - rising 4yo Chocolate Buckskin Stationbred EMH 15.2hh, Holden Kingston - Ngahiwi x Glendevon Commander. $500 LFG introductory fee.
