Taken the other evening. Leading the group is Thee Aga Khan (Zibaq Khan x Naibara Silver Moon) 3 year old gelding. Also in the group a non Arab who loves to pretend to be one.

It was a wonderful surprise to get a message earlier this week telling me that Zarhgay Al Rafiq (aka Zee) was living at Gore and was competing in introductory level dressage.

Zee was the first-born offspring of Pevensey Regent* and Zareth- Shahar (Quassa).

Seeing his photos brought a mixture of emotions, as I am so pleased to learn that Zee is loved and trusted by his owner Claire McAlinden, while sad that Regent was taken so soon.

Most of all I am thrilled to see Zee giving someone so much pleasure.

It's that time of the year when you realise a whole year has gone by without going for a ride, so you get your horse out and go for a ride.
Actually, it has been two years since Zibaq Khan, and I have had a ride together. 3.4.2022 in fact.

The new filly is growing and is good to work with. She is a Gem, so that is her paddock name.

More foal spam. So very pleased with this filly's nature. I know I sound like a first-time parent, but, having had a number of disappointments these last few years, I am determined to enjoy this gift.

Found something today that I hadn't noticed in my excitement.
Her paternal grandsire Quassa had a patch on his side. So she has the stamp of approval.

Day two and the most precious soul is doing well. Pippi is being an excellent mother. I have not been able to settle on a name yet. Not even a paddock name.
She has had her first visitors today and she was most gracious in allowing them to fo**le her. She has been good to handle, being calm and sensible.

Absolutely thrilled to welcome a FILLY foal this morning by Zibaq Khan out of the only registered purebred mare by Pevensey Regent, Sunny Brae Poetic Requiem, aka Pippi.

So this filly is very special to me. She is a granddaughter of Quassa (Desert Shadow x Houllain) and a granddaughter of Regent.

I have been blessed.
