While I’m away for most of the week, the girls are holding the fort. 🐾❤️

It takes a team, and I’m lucky we share the same passion for the dogs.

This morning’s update came through before the crew got a little smaller. Four soon became three as another puppy headed off to their new home.

The goodbyes are always hard, but they’re a little easier when you know you’ve found the right match. Knowing a puppy has headed off to a family that’s such a great fit is exactly what we hope for every time.

A big day for the puppies today! 🐾🚛

Today the pups made the trip to Timaru to visit The Family Vet for their vaccinations and microchipping.

They travelled beautifully and came home with clean bills of health, making for a very successful day. ❤️

Another milestone ticked off as they get closer to joining their new families. Time really is flying!

No puppy content today… just Uncle Jimmy stealing the spotlight. 🐾❤️

There definitely weren’t enough hours in the long weekend, but we still managed to fit in a bath and a bit of a groom for Jimmy.

As soon as he was finished, out came his favourite ball. The spinning, the excitement, and the happy dance happen every single time. Safe to say, his love for that ball hasn’t faded one bit! 🎾😂

Another big week for the Kalaugher puppies! 🐾❤️

Despite the sickness continuing in our household, the puppies have been keeping us smiling every day.

This week they officially weaned from their mums, had their nails trimmed, and completed their third round of worming. They’re growing into confident, happy little puppies and taking every new experience in their stride.

They’ve also been enjoying a short play session in the outdoor run each afternoon, making the most of the winter sunshine while exploring new sights, sounds, and smells. With the gloomy weather forecast for next week, those outdoor adventures might have to take a short break.

Today we finally found the energy for everyone’s weekly bath. All six puppies were washed, blow-dried, and returned to their freshly cleaned pen looking very proud of themselves. 🛁✨

The trolley after bath time is always a favourite photo opportunity… and, true to form, Bruno managed to claim the middle spot once again! 😂❤️

These little blue roans are growing up far too quickly, and their personalities are becoming more obvious every single day.

Another big weekend for the puppies! 🐾

Yesterday was bath day, and everyone handled their very first bath like little champions. A few also had their feet trimmed, helping them get used to regular grooming.

This afternoon they enjoyed some playtime in the winter sunshine before coming inside, and we took the opportunity to snap a few headshots. 📸

Tomorrow the Margots pups will be 6 weeks old! It’s incredible how quickly they’re growing and how much their little personalities are starting to show ❤️

The pups enjoyed a change of scenery this afternoon, with a small pen set up on the front lawn to soak up some winter sunshine. ☀️🐾

At nearly 5 weeks old, they’re becoming more curious by the day, exploring new sights, sounds, and textures while still finding plenty of time for naps between adventures.

A little sunshine, a little fresh air, and lots of puppy cuddles – a perfect afternoon. ❤️

Side note: That’s our new neighbour’s dog that seems committed to a full-time career in barking? 🤣🐕🔊

A big day for all the pups today — Round 2 worming complete! ✔️🐾

Sadie’s only child has also been living their best life with a new toy, a new bed, and plenty of cuddles. Being an only puppy certainly has its perks!

And yes, before anyone asks, she does have regular play dates with Margot’s pups in between sleeps and meals… because every puppy needs friends to help burn off all that energy! ❤️🐶

Margot’s boy caught up with Sadie’s pup tonight. Both 4-week-old babies, enjoying a wee wrestle and exploring the world together, with a bit of Tay Tay playing in the background. 🎶💕
