Meet Milo (Moomoo, Sausie, Squishy)

Milo is a four-year-old Mini Schnauzer with a big personality and a love for life’s little routines. He joined his mum during lockdown and quickly became her constant companion.

He loves his flirt pole game called Flashies, homemade chicken and rice, massages, long walks, and people-watching from a safe distance. Scooters, joggers, prams, and rain are firmly on his “no thanks” list. His favourite place to visit is Auckland’s maunga where he can climb high, sniff everything, and survey his kingdom.

Milo’s biggest achievement is learning to face the world with growing confidence each day. He’s a velcro dog who adores his mum but also has a tight circle of favourites, including his dog parents Brook and Radha, aunty Colly, aunty Ali, and his schnauzer buddy Ted.

If he had a job, Milo would be a treat sniffer and neighbourhood watch, keeping a keen eye on every passerby. His theme song is The Pink Panther Theme, perfectly suiting his cautious, clever, and slightly dramatic nature. That dramatic side once surfaced when he stopped traffic because a leaf was stuck on his paw.

Jules, often called Julesy, is an English Springer Spaniel who celebrates her birthday on Christmas Eve. She joined her family nine years ago and has been the heart of the household ever since.

Her great loves are tennis balls and squeaky toys, the louder the better. At the beach she is in her element, digging giant holes in the sand and swimming to her heart’s content. Mornings start with a gentle paw on the bed to remind everyone it is time for a walk.

Jules has her share of quirks too. She is terrified of balloons, horses, and cows, but adores the company of people and would choose humans over other dogs any day. At night she makes the rounds, cuddling up on everyone’s bed before finally settling in.

She has had her fair share of achievements, from winning Best Looking Dog at the Russell Dog Show to placing first in obedience and second in the obstacle course at the Te Puke A & P Show. If Jules had a job, she would be a nurse or psychologist because she has a natural gift for listening and being there when someone needs her most.

Jules has been enjoying some Holistic Hound pamper sessions and her family say they can see the difference. Her skin has been so much better, her fur is wonderfully soft, and she smells amazing.

Her theme songs would be The Most Beautiful Girl in the World or Walking on Sunshine - a good match for her happy, affectionate personality.

For Jules, life is best lived at the beach, chasing tennis balls, and being with her favourite human, Bridget, though the whole family insists they are her number one!
