Having trained and competed on the international circuit under the guidance of top International Olympic Riders, Kate has brought back to New Zealand a vast wealth of knowledge which she is always more than happy to share with her pupils. Kate has now settled in Christchurch, New Zealand, working full time developing her purpose designed eventing yard within the horse friendly neighbourhood of We
st Melton. Being located within five minutes of The National Equestrian Centre has its obvious benefits - Kate has easy access to one of the best equestrian training grounds in the South Island. All horses trained at Kate Cavanagh Equestrian enjoy great variety in their training, with fantastic hacking, schooling at home on the surfaced arena, or cross country and show jump training at McLeans Island. Since returning to Christchurch Kate has produced a number of exceptional youngsters for both the local and international market and is ever on the hunt for her next eventing superstar!
