When your clothes shrink in the wash over winter 😂
We all know it’s a cruel trick played by the washing machine.
Dave squished into a size small shortee to model these new lilac pretties. They are on the website now to order.

Today it’s Miss Heartys turn to model a new tee.
I called this one Club Tropicana for obvious reasons.

New boy Dobby helped model some of the new design tees. He’s a big boy @ 38kg and wears size large.
Standing still for photos is a learning curve but it helps if there’s something to watch over the road 😁🐾

Dave busted out his ears for a model of some of the new tees ❤️
These are on the website today 🐾 limited numbers as always.
There are still a few of the reduced price $20 tees available. The $20 price is for all the tees on the website It was a busy day of sales yesterday, thank you 🫶🏼
Some of you already know that our beautiful Dave has some health issues and that he has a mass in his lung. He’s off to the oncologist on Wednesday.
We also welcomed a beautiful new hound to the family. A foster fail from May Hounds. His name is Dobby. He’s a half brother to our Hearty.
It’s also been a very busy season of sewing and sales again.
All of this is why I’ve been a bit absent from making posts here ❤️

After adopting Dave, my first greyhound, I started to make him coats. Finding it difficult to locate what I wanted in the generic market, and having problems with fit because of a greyhound's body shape, it was a natural progression from my professional training -designing human clothes- to doing the same with hound gear. Other greyhound owners saw what I was doing and wanted caff 10 coats for their hounds.
From there I got on board with Greyhounds as Pets NZ and began making coats, collars and raincoats for them to sell.
Here I am today, with a website dedicated to high quality, unique, handcrafted hound gear, made in New Zealand for our beautiful adopted greys. The products are as functional as they are fashionable, and will keep your dogs warm and cosy or dry. I try to use as many upcycled and natural materials as I can - both for the environment, and because the natural fading and worn-in-ness adds to the coats' aesthetic. Because of my background in fashion design and manufacture you can rest assured all the coats are made to the highest professional standards.
There are 3 gorgeous retired racing greyhounds who share my home these days: Diggity Dave (Danato), Bella Boo (Rhyme in Melody) and Hearty Party (unraced). Sometimes they are in the mood to model and some(most)times they are not.
Each year we support rehoming groups and rescue centres. In 2018 we supported (with donations of coats) May Hounds who are a fairly new greyhound rehoming group based in NZ. May Hounds send each adopted greyhound to their new homes with the basics they need to start a pet life. You can find May Hounds on facebook. We also supported a local pound here in the Waikato.
