In December we took in little old Colin. He was being kept at a crack house in Tauranga where a local rescue was able to convince them to relinquish him. He was found neglected, miserable, blind, and covered head to toe in mange. Both of his eyes are damaged beyond repair, likely due to the chemical exposure. He’s a whopping 17 years old, deaf, and extremely sweet. He loves cuddles, treats, being brushed, and sunbathing. He won’t be with us long, but we’ll love him for all of his remaining days. 💕 Thank you friends for supporting my over the top love for senior and special needs dogs!

Rehoming post:

Five year old Poppy (Shih Tzu/Maltese mix) is looking for a loving home. She is happy, healthy, and cute! She will do best in a home without other dogs or cats, as it’s important to her to have her family’s attention to herself. 😊 Poppy loves going for walks and playing with balls. She’s not a fussy eater, and has been trained to use a potty pad. She needs to be brushed often to keep her coat cute and healthy. She will only go to a home that will have her desexed. Please spread the word and contact Rogue (via Messenger) if you would like more information. Poppy is currently in Taranaki.

This tiny ball of fluff was disposed of at age 13 because she could no longer be used for breeding. When the pound contacted us she had been there for over three months. We found her in an open air (freezing) kennel, stressed and confused. She had stopped eating. No one wanted her because of her age and extensive dental needs. A local vet was contacted and agreed to donate a full dental cleaning and all needed extractions. She is here at our tiny sanctuary now where she will live her remaining days in peace, warmth, and love. Welcome home Quimby Nimbus!
