It's a wrap! Thanks to all our volunteers, especially our friends from Hawera Dog Training Association for the extra timers, Mark and Sharon Schmidt for the extra gear, VitaPet New Zealand for all the treats, and the crew at Coastal Rugby for the venue and hot food. Thanks to our judges for some challenging and fun courses, and for your good humour in the rain. Shout out to our newbie handlers too, first time in the ring, you did awesome. See you all back at Okato Domain in August.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Pam Martin, a cherished patron of the North Taranaki Dog Training Club. Pam was an extraordinary woman, full of life and passion, whose influence on our community will be profoundly missed.

Pam became part of the club soon after relocating to New Plymouth with her family in 1973, during the time the club was based at East End. Throughout her years of involvement, Pam made immense contributions to the dog training world, excelling as a competitor, judge, trainer, instructor, steward, and breeder. Her steadfast support and encouragement helped countless individuals achieve their goals with their dogs.

Pam was always generous with her vast knowledge, offering valuable guidance to everyone, from seasoned handlers to newcomers. Her advice was given with care and kindness, always nurturing a deep love for the special bond between people and their dogs.

Beyond her contributions to the club, Pam was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is now reunited with her husband, Tony.

Pam’s legacy of passion, wisdom, and love will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
