Titoki Bees honey is sourced from a single urban beehive in sunny Hawkes Bay. The honey is produced in small batches and the bees forage from a wide variety of local flowers. This results in a multifloral honey and the flavour, colour and floral composition may vary from batch to batch.
All honey is tested for Tutin and Glyphosate. Quality checks for moisture and natural sugar levels are also carried out.
Raw honey hasn’t been pasteurised (heat treated) or ultra-fine filtered. This means more of the ‘good stuff’ is retained, undamaged in the honey. Raw honey will usually crystallise over time. This is a normal, natural process and doesn’t make the honey unsafe to eat or affect it’s quality. In fact, crystallisation is a sign that the honey is pure and unprocessed!
Use this delicious honey for baking, hot drinks, on toast or eat it straight out of the jar! Great for those hot lemon and honey drinks in winter if you’re feeling under the weather. 🐝 ❤️
