Shaggy to Sleek Grooming dogs is a passion and I have a genuine love for our canine companions.

I started grooming from home in 2018 and in 2019 completed an "Intense Combined Course" at NZ Dog Grooming School in Tauranga where I gained valuable knowledge.

Today's post features the family dogs. They all love being outside digging and playing..."Doug" my Granddaughter Penelope's wee dog, scrubs up really well.
My own dogs, "Sam and Beau", were two very muddy boys after being at the duckpond this morning...so into the tub they went...followed by a blowdry and deshed for Sam and the whole works for Beau who desperately needed it!!

It's been a busy week ...Spring is here (even though it feels like winter!) And in Spring, there is a lot of shedding going on in dogs that moult...both long and short haired.
CJ, Luna, Aadya all have double coats and had "a lot" of undercoat to be removed. Lace is a retired working dog..even though she has a short coat, there was still a lot of old undercoat to be removed and she looks fresh, shiny and will feel good after her groom.

Honey is an elderly lady and is the same in nature ...a real wee honey and looks and feels so much better after her spruce up. Buddy also has a lovely nature and his coat came up lovely.

Some big and small dogs who have been to visit me for their groom lately 😍...big dogs Cooper, Ash and Stevie are all first time grooms to Shaggy to Sleek and are feeling refreshed and look lovely and shiny and soft with their old undercoat removed.
Small dogs Tuffy, Shadow and Maddy are Shaggy to Sleek regulars have been coming to me since I started grooming 6 years ago 🐾🐾🥰

Cooper and Milo with their double coats feel better now all the excessive undercoat gone after their groom, Poppy, Allie and Tilly have had a little bit more coat left on than usual to get through the cold snap we're having. Doug has been trimmed a lot shorter this time so he can enjoy digging and playing on the farm and will help him stay cleaner and Tora's brindle coat has really popped and looks lovely after her bath, blowdry and brush to remove moulting hair.

Dougie had a bath, blowdry and thorough brush and comb through of his beautiful fluffy coat today. He needs this done about every 2 weeks along with regular brushing to keep a longer coat trim. He really does suit this look.
I'm happy to discuss options and maintenance required for you and your pup. Whether it's a longer, fluffy look like Dougie or a shorter, more practical trim.
