A great weekend out with the team! 🌟

Silver Lining SKS had his third ever show and placed in every class — not a single rail down all weekend! So proud of how consistent and confident he’s becoming.

Savannah FLS, owned by Iris Van Velsen, also performed exceptionally well, placing in 3 out of 4 rounds and stepping up to complete her first 90–95cm round. Exciting progress for both horses!

Show jumped up to 1.35 m and 2* eventing, with plenty of competition experience within New Zealand and multiple international events.

Time to plan ahead and get your saddles/horses booked in before the season starts!

Important announcement 📢

As of the 1st of July 2025 my rates will increase. I haven't had an increase in several years as I understand how tough horse ownership is in the current economy, but for me to continue to provide my services the time has come.
Any appointments already booked in July will stay at the current pricing.

New rates will be as follows:

*$190 New client or existing client with a new horse, or test riding saddles. This covers a 2 hour time slot.
I keep a good stock of saddles, but if I need to have other saddles sent up for test rides I will be adding a courier charge which I will quote for ahead of time.
*$170 returning client/horse combination saddle recheck. This covers a 1.5 hour time slot.
*$140 follow up saddle fit for combinations seen within the past 2 months. This covers a 1 hour time slot.

➡️ The above charges do not include travel, wool and gullet fees.
-Wool is usually $10-$40 depending on how much your saddle requires.
-Interchangeable gullet plates are $70.
-Travel fees are usually $15-$35 depending on where you are, I aim to have a group of horses in the same area or at a venue on the same day to keep travel costs low.

➡️ I will be available from mid July on Saturdays for fittings at the Whangarei RDA indoor arena over winter. The arena fee is $30, but I will not charge a travel fee. I don't usually work weekends and using an indoor means we don't have to compete with the weather gods!

What a weekend! Super pleased with Hillfields Elizabeth finishing on her dressage score in the ROBERT ALISON CONTRACTING CCN80 class at Keith Andrews Trucks northland horse trials for a 2nd overall. A Big thanks for the continuous sponsorship for our local shows! Lizzie had 2 eventing starts this season and at both got placed💞 My wee man also had his first HT experience. He Did a lovely dressage and had some young horse moments between the jumps in the SJ. And Decided to leave the XC for another day as he wasn’t up for it mentally! One more show for me this season next weekend and that will be me over and out for another season. And ready to tackle next season with another homebred horse of mine joining the team!
