SPCA Gisborne Centre Formed in 1957, the Gisborne SPCA Centre covers a large area of the East Coast, stretching from Wairoa in the south to Hicks Bay in the north.

🐾 The L Crew are ready for their forever homes! 🐾

Lola, Lottie, Lollipop & Leonardo have just come back to the centre after some time in foster, and what a delightful wee litter they are! 🥰

They all have beautiful, loving natures, but each one has their own little personality and something special to offer. 💕

They’ve been around children and larger dogs and have been an absolute delight for their foster family .

Now all they need is YOU! 🏡❤️

10 weeks ago, this little girl arrived at SPCA, and look at her now! 🥹

Somehow, Lizzo keeps getting overlooked — and we really don’t know why. ❤️

She’s a sweet, easy-going pup who is happy to chill, loves a cuddle and doesn’t ask for much. She’d suit a quiet home where she can enjoy the simple things and be your loyal little companion.

She doesn’t need to be the centre of attention… she just needs someone to choose her. 🐾❤️

What a successful day at our community vaccination drive! 💉🐶

A massive thank you to everyone who came along with their dogs. It was so lovely meeting you all and seeing so many happy faces (and wagging tails!) throughout the day. 🥰

We’re incredibly grateful to Gisborne District Council Animal Control for their support, and to the YMCA for allowing us to use their premises and making the day possible.

Most of all, thank you to our amazing community for welcoming us in and allowing us to support you and your dogs. We’re so proud to be able to provide these opportunities and help keep our local dogs happy, healthy and protected. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who helped make today such a success — we couldn’t have done it without you! 🐾

Just a little heads-up that SPCA Gisborne Centre will be CLOSED this Saturday, 22nd August due to our Vaccine Drive 💉🐾

Mr Zorro 🩶🐾

Zorro is a little cuddle enthusiast who would happily spend his days curled up in your arms. 🥰

He has his playful kitten moments, but cuddles and smooches are definitely his favourite things! He’s a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being close to his people and soaking up all the attention.

Zorro can be a little timid when there’s lots of noise or stimulation, so he’d love a quiet, calm home where he can feel safe and settle in at his own pace.

He would also suit being the only pet, so he can enjoy plenty of one-on-one love and attention. ❤️

If you’re looking for a gentle little grey tabby who would much rather be in your lap than causing mischief, Zorro could be your perfect match! 🐱💕

Dave is discovering just how big and exciting the world can be! 🌎

This lovely boy is still quite new to experiences outside the centre, but he’s taking it all in his stride. He recently enjoyed a trip to the beach and even had an adventure to Bunnings — and he was such a good boy! 🥰

Dave has a beautiful nature and such a lovely dog. What he needs now is a loving home with people who can give him the time, patience and encouragement to keep discovering the world.

He deserves to leave the centre and finally have a family of his own. ❤️

🌊🐾 FIRST BEACH DAY! 🐾🌊

Four little pups. Four wagging tails. ONE very exciting adventure! 🥹❤️

Now fully vaccinated, these 3-month-old babies got to experience the beach for the very first time — and they absolutely LOVED it! 🏖️🐶

Running, sniffing, playing and zooming… what more could a puppy ask for?! 😍

Now they’re dreaming of a family who will keep the adventures coming! 🏡❤️
