REPTAK will be flying the flag for Wexford today at Cambridge.

His first attempt on the poly was pleasing, finishing a strong 2nd. He doesn’t need to improve much on that performance to be competitive again today.

Tom Wigram is booked to ride and the lair will start from barrier 6.

The team heads to Te Rapa today, with five on the truck 🏇

CONISTON (pictured) (Michael McNab, barrier 11) will line up in race 1 at 12.46pm. He brings high levels of confidence and experience from his trials. He'll have to be good from the barrier, but looks to have a good load of ability and will be hitting the line hard.

FIAMMA (Joe Doyle, barrier 7) will also line up in race 1. Kicking off her spring preperation today, she had one run as a 2YO last season. She's a filly that's going to be progressive over the early part of the season, has worked in well and will make her presence felt.

SWEET BUT PSYCHO (Michael McNab, barrier 4) will line up in race 4 at 2.37pm. A mare that's in top form, out to the 2400m at peak fitness will suit. Michael knows her well and the way she's been racing, she's deserving of a win.

RIBKRAKA (Kyle Wilson-Taylor, barrier 7) will line up in race 5 at 3.12pm. Having his first attempt at the mile today, he saves his best for Te Rapa. He's a super consistent galloper and another competitive performance is expected.

EVER CHARM (Kyle Wilson-Taylor, barrier 5) will line up in race 8 at 5.02pm. He's been racing well without a lot of good fortune. The senior jockey goes on today and there's no reason why he can't bounce back into form.

The team got a glimpse of spring today, with POUNCE and DASHING DIXIE making pleasing returns in the Listed Chittick Family Fillies Classic at Taupō Racing Club 🌼

While we didn’t walk away with the silverware on this occasion, both girls were finishing on strongly and we’re looking forward to seeing them progress through their campaigns. Roll on spring!

Spring is certainly in the air! The team heads to Taupō Racing Club this afternoon, with an exciting team on the truck.

Before the racing action gets underway...

L'AIGLE NOIR (Kyle Wilson-Taylor) will trial at 11.12am. Out for a day of exercise, we're very pleased with the way he's coming to hand and the trial will bring him on leaps and bounds.

CHECKMATE (Warren Kennedy) will trial at 11.25am. We're bringing him along very quietly and believe his 5YO season will be a strong one. Warren knows him well and we're looking forward to his feedback.

WAITAK (Craig Grylls) will also trial in the second heat at 11.25am. This will be his only outing prior to the Proisir Plate. He'll just be cantering amongst them, and we couldn't be more pleased with how his coming up.

Representing Wexford in the races...

THE DARZI (Craig Grylls, barrier 11) will line up in race 1 at 12.07pm. He's genetically bred to run the trip well, and the way he's been racing suggests he'll relish the extra distance. He should kick off the racing well for team Wexford.

CAMILA (Craig Grylls, barrier 3) will line up in race 5 at 2.25pm. She was much better last start when finishing 2nd at Cambridge. If she can settle in the running, she can run another top race.

DASHING DIXIE (pictured) (Joe Doyle, barrier 8 ) will line up in the Listed Chittick Family Fillies Classic at 3.45pm. She's trained in particularly well. Her trial was solid, she's a talented filly and we believe will be right amongst it in the end.

POUNCE (Craig Grylls, barrier 10) will also make her season debut in the Listed Chittick Family Fillies Classic. Another that has trialed well leading in, she comes in with a touch of residual fitness from her last start win at Ellerslie. She's a super talented type and will be hitting the line hard.

MOSINVADER heads to Ruakaka Racing - Whangarei RC this afternoon, representing Wexford in Race 7 at 4.17pm.

He’s second up record is very good. He’ll be better suited by the ground today and has the ability to be hard to beat.

Craig Grylls is booked to ride and the pair will start from barrier 3.

We’re incredibly proud to see our own Pratap Singh named the Northern Regional Winner of the 2025–26 Stablehand of the Year Award.

Pratap has been part of the Wexford team for more than a decade - speaking volumes about his loyalty and commitment to the stable. His way with horses is second to none. So much so he’s earned him the nickname ‘Magic Hands’. He has an incredible strapping-to-winners rate and has led in plenty of big winners over the years, including Waitak (who he rides every morning at trackwork) Rocket Spade, Summer Passage and Dragon Leap.

Whether it’s a Group 1 day or a trial in the middle of winter, a Group 1 runner or a maiden, Pratap’s attention to detail is exactly the same. He puts the same care and effort into every horse, every day, and always goes above and beyond for their wellbeing.

We’re incredibly lucky to have Pratap, alongside a fantastic wider team who all put so much into the care of our horses. You can’t run a racing stable without a first-class team behind it, and we’re very lucky to have such a dedicated group of people at Wexford.

Congratulations and well deserved Pratap!

Thank you to Saddlery Warehouse Cambridge & Tauranga for your very kind and generous sponsorship of the Stablehand Of The Year Award. Each regional finalist has received $2,500, plus travel accommodation and tickets to the Horse Of The Year Awards, where an overall winner will be announced.

Off and racing at Te Rapa this afternoon, with five horses set to fly the Wexford flag! 🏇

LITTLE ORCHID (Joe Doyle, barrier 6) will line up in race 3 at 1.23pm. On improved track conditions this week, we believe she'll quicken better. She's continued to improve with racing, knows her way around Te Rapa and should be right in it.

LOMASI (Masa Hashizume, barrier 3) will also line up in the third on the card. She didn’t take to the synthetic track last start and we’re hoping for an improved result on better footing today.

LITTLE BIT OF LOVE (Joe Nishizuka, barrier 5) will line up in race 4 at 1.59pm. A super consistent galloper, especially at Te Rapa. He'll handle any conditions and if the small field goes a genuine gallop, he'll be flashing home over the top.

RIBKRAKA (pictured) (Erin Leighton, barrier 5) will line up in race 6 at 3.10pm. Back to his favourite track, he was unsuited by the deep ground last start. It's a winning combination - jockey and horse - and we're hoping to see a repeat result from two starts prior.

UDERZO (Sam McNab, barrier 7) will line up in race 7 at 3.45pm. A track and distance winner, he found the ground a touch heavy last start and will be better suited by today's conditions. He's always a breezy track worker and will run another honest race.

EVER CHARM (Cooper Stumbles, barrier 7) will line up in race 8 at 4.20pm. It's great to have Cooper aboard. After putting in plenty of work behind the scenes and helping the team out, he gets his first raceday ride for the stable. Ever Charm does his best racing at Te Rapa and can bounce back into form here today.
