UPDATE: IT LOOKS LIKE PIPPA HASBEEN SORTED SO THANK YOU FOR ALL INQUIRES.

Looking for a Loving, Active Home – Pippa 🐾

Due to changes in my schedule, I’m needing to find a new home for Pippa — a wee, super cute dog (about the size of a cat) with a big heart and an even bigger personality.

Pippa is a 1/2 Mini Fox Terrier and 1/2 Japanese Spitz, with a slightly fluffy coat and an affectionate, lively nature.

About Pippa:

1.5 years old
Small, compact size
Very affectionate and people-loving
Raised in a family with three children (ages 7–11)
High energy – thrives with plenty of exercise and stimulation
Trained to run alongside a bicycle
Socialised and confident
Alerts with barking when visitors arrive
Lives indoors and sleeps comfortably in a crate
Not yet tested with cats
Ideal Home:
Pippa will do best with someone who:

Has time to give her attention and companionship
Leads an active lifestyle
Can provide daily exercise (runs, outdoor time)
Has space for her to burn off energy
She is a loving companion who truly thrives on connection, movement, and being part of someone’s life. In the right home, she will absolutely flourish.

Serious enquiries only — finding the right home for Pippa is the priority 💛

Too COLD this morning. I'm going to stay in bed today.

For years, we’ve called this "Kennel Cough," but that name created a bit of a stigma! It led many owners to believe their dogs were only at risk if they stayed at a boarding facility.

Because this respiratory "cold" is actually found everywhere from the local park to the groomers the official name has been changed to Canine Cough. Even your vet’s records and vaccination certificates are now switching over to the Canine Cough name to better reflect how common and widespread it really is!

🚩 The Signs
* A dry, hacking cough or a loud "goose honk."
* Retching, swallowing, or coughing up white foamy mucus (often mistaken for vomiting).
* Coughing often gets worse with exercise, barking, or excitement.

🦠How Does it Spread?
* Direct contact (sniffing/touching noses).
* Shared water bowls, food dishes, or toys.
* Coughing and sneezing.

🏠 What to Do if Your Dog is Coughing
If your dog starts showing any of the above signs the best thing you can do Is keep them home. This protects the rest of the doggy community!

Pro-Tips for Comfort:
* Keep them quiet to prevent coughing fits.
* Remove their collar to avoid irritating their throat.
* Offer wet food instead of dry biscuits if their throat feels sore.
* Most healthy dogs recover in 1–2 weeks with rest, but if they become lethargic, lose their appetite, or have a fever, they may need medical help.

🛡️ The Power of Vaccination
While no vaccine can prevent every single strain of Canine Cough, keeping vaccinations up to date is essential. It significantly reduces the severity of the symptoms and helps stop the spread to more vulnerable dogs.

The wet weather has arrived at Ladymead. The dogs love it though. Especially, Kai. It's his time of year. All daycare dogs get washed up before they go home with a dose of cologne to help with the wet dog smell.

Some of our 30 daycare dogs enjoying the surprisingly fine weather. Normally the exercise runs are just mud so its amazing what a few days of sunshine can do. Of course the dogs love the mud, especially when they get a bath at the end of the day.
