29-05-25. Belle is a lovely 15.2hh TB mare out of Bellisent by Guillotine. She was born 2010 and a proven broodmare.

Belle will be running with Des this coming season.

My fantastic farrier Robert trimmed the horses and Blue the three month old foal. So that is now done.

The vet came and scanned Miss and Willow. Miss is still in foal and Willow confirmed in foal to Des. Did not brand Blue as the weather turned and will just save it to be done next season. So hopefully all goes well and that is the last of the vet visits until next season.

Not much happening. Still not found a mare as a mate for Blue lol. However I do have a plan B if nothing comes up.

My farrier Robert is coming to trim the horses and Blue in a couple of weeks. Then the vet is coming the next day to brand Blue and also scan Miss (to confirm still in foal) and check Willow (see if she is in foal to Des).

Saph has a future home to go to. Very pleased with where she is going and if for any reason it does not work out in the future, she will come back.

I am keeping an eye out for a proven broodmare to be a mate for Blue long term before he is weaned in a couple of months. Must be 15-15.2hh, good to handle, float, not bossy and good with youngstock. So if anyone knows of anything, contact me. :)

11-04-25. Blue at six weeks. Had a bit of a mishap but getting the care he needs.

Things have really settled down now.

Loyal left for his new home last week.

Still got to do some halter training with Blue since he is now a month old but weather is not being very helpful at the moment. Will have to wait for better weather.

Quietly keeping an eye out for a broodmare over winter as only have one empty mare for Des next season at the moment. Will just see what crops up.

So next photos will be when we give Blue some halter lessons. :)

Kerryanne came and stayed the night in the villa bringing Destiny's Dream Weaver (Dezi) as a mate for Eden. They are now on their way back home. Going to miss the little girl who was such a hit with guests here at the farm stay.
