Unfortunately we have been notified of some guests that now have Canine (Kennel) Cough. Please keep an eye out for any symptoms as they can appear up to 10 days after exposure. Dogs that have any symptoms are to stay home until 10 days after the last symptom. Canine cough is a common disease that has a number of different triggers - the vaccines cover around 4 but many cannot be covered such as temperature, humidity, dust, smoke pollen etc.
As dogs may have a mild case with no symptoms and with a long incubation period it is similar to a human cold (bronchitis), hard to detect and impossible to stop unfortunately. The good news is that it is regarded as a generally mild disease that usually self rectifies but some treatments can help with the coughing.
