We are so proud to be awarded this accolade as the leading horse trekking company in Australasia in regards to welfare and ethical treatment of our horses 🐴🐴 by Worldwide Vets! One of only 7 companies recognised by them worldwide!! 🌎🌎

WINTER ❄️ Certainly putting the 'Alpine' in Mackenzie Alpine Horses! It brings so much beauty here in Tekapo, but also brings the curtain down on our 23/24 trekking season, and what a magical season it's been!!! So many interesting people from all corners of the world, so many laughs, so many stories, so much FUN! We are truly privileged to be able to share our epic experience with every one of you. But for now it's time for our wonderful horses to head for their very well deserved holiday. Not exactly a tropical one, but a chance to simply be couch potatoes... sleep in, eat & hang with friends. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Boys!!! Enjoy your R&R!!! Also a HUGE thank you to our amazing team of girls, Summer, Nat, Kayla, Meg & Britt! What a fabulous job you have done, thank you for everything!!! We look forward to meeting a whole lot of new faces next season, opening September 28th 2024
