This was a cool project!
DFN wanted to build a dietary assessment tool for their website. The DFN team looked into plugin solutions, but no plugin did exactly what they required. The solutions, a full custom interactive tool built by A-Z Web Solutions 💪

An exciting project we’ve recently completed is the redesign and redevelopment of the BJ Ball NZ website - www.bjball.co.nz.�BJ Ball NZ are suppliers of paper and packaging to the NZ market and have been in business for 100+ years.

Their previous website was old, outdated and with only 10% CMS control, it was painful and expensive to update. BJ Ball also had two other brands BJ Ball Packaging and Icon Paper that needed to be brought over into the new website.

Along with Casie and the team at Design Garage we worked closely with BJ Ball to come up with a new web design that showcased the BJ Ball brand.

The new build had some specific functionality requirements, the main one being the products module. Users needed the ability to easily navigate and search for products using the search tools and filters. The enhanced product pages needed to give users the ability to download product profiles, view product specs and print entire product pages, as well as the ability to request a sample or simply enquire about a product.

All in all this was an awesome project to work on and definitely a highlight for 2024!

We recently completed a big project to develop a membership program for Doctors for Nutrition. The membership program had to integrate with a Learning Management System, because a big part of DFN's membership program is to offer online courses.
A third element as part of the build was to give non-members the ability to purchase some of the online courses. This involved integrating WooCommerce.
Overall this was a complex custom dev project, but no project is too big for the team at A-Z Web Solutions. We've got you covered from A-Z.

SignDNA phase 2 complete.

The SignDNA website is a central online repository of Deaf history, values and experience for the Aotearoa New Zealand Deaf community. Last last year A-Z Web Solutions took over as the NZ based developer for the SignDNA website.

This involved a complete re-build of the backend to make the website more future proof and give us the flexibility to add additional functionality.

Phase 2 involved developing a solution to give SignDNA the ability to add translation videos throughout the site. These translation videos were added to different paragraphs through the website, over 200 translation videos added in total!

One of the biggest jobs i've taken on as a freelancer was to rebuild the backend for the signDNA website. Sonia from signDNA was after a NZ based web developer to work with to fix a few issues and build some new functionality.

After reviewing the current set up it was clear a rebuild was the best way forward. The rebuild involved recreating existing functionality, building new functionality and making sure the site looked exactly as it did before the rebuild, and not to mention importing all the data from the old site 🥵

Working closely with Sonia I was able to build a backend that is easier to use, future proof and something that we can easily add to in the future.
