Weanling Worming Wednesday.
If you're brave enough to zoom in you will see red AND white worms here. This is taken a day after deworming a warmblood weanling. These are both the adult and juvenile stages of Redworm (small strongyle/cyathostomin). Is this normal????!!!!!!🤔

We had a great day last Thursday for our Ulcer Scoping Clinic! 🙌🏽

Dr Tim Montgomery is a wealth of knowledge and everyone took away some valuable information from their visit! 🤓

Not only did we find ulcers, we also spied bots on more than one exam 🧐. A great reminder to de-worm your horses and ponies if they haven’t been dosed this year yet.

We also discovered a horse with pelvic issues, a horse who was unable to chew his food properly due to a severly unbalanced mouth, a strange wart-type growth in one of the horses mouths and worked through a hoof balancing/body alignment on a horse with intermittentent lameness. Thank you Dr Tim!

Three vets bouncing ideas around and investigating issues doesn’t happen often! 🤩

Thank you to everyone who came along and also to Adriaan who joined Wairoa Farm Vetsarm Vets and of course the team at the RDA for the use of their awesome facilities.
