Happy Anzac day for this Saturday.
This week we are only attending the Ohoka farmers market. (Friday 9-12:30)

Due to Anzac Day the markets we attend have a different approach on how to trade on the day, given this we have decided to have a well deserved weekend off.

💚🥦🌻 Stallholder shout-out 💚🌼🌱

When I first started doing the markets, one of the very first stalls I befriended was Fernside Microfarm 🌱🚜

Michael welcomed me to the market with a cheeky grin and oodles of advice. Each week he would critique my setup, telling me what looked good and what I could improve. He taught me the ins and outs of customer flow and how to adapt to changing weather conditions. Years of yarning and support have helped me grow into a confident stallholder.

If you don’t see Michael at the market, you’ll likely see his beautiful wife Hayley 😍 A woman with the sweetest soul and the best listening ear. Our bond has been built through relatable mum chats, ranging from sleep deprivation to the joy we share in our babies’ achievements.

At their stall, they sell a range of delicious, fresh microgreens, either as individual varieties or a generous mixed blend. After a week of baking and taste testing sweet treats, they are always my first stop when I need to add some nutrient-dense goodness back into my diet.

If you’re lucky enough to see either Michael or Hayley at the market, grab some microgreens and have a yarn. They are genuinely beautiful people doing nourishing work 🌱

We are at Amberley Farmers Market tomorrow from 9-12:30, and Christchurch Farmers Market from 9-12 - come along and grab some gorgeous microgreens to garnish your christmas feast!

We are then taking a break from markets over new years to soak up some precious time with our family ❤️

Once again here at Fernside Microfarm, we have some fantastic quality micros coming through.
I was out watering this afternoon and the greens are leaping out of the trays! So cool to see all the different shades of green.
