Just a reminder to check for birds nests! It’s that time of year.
We actually do this year round as part of a start check. But especially important at this time of year, and after a lunch break. The tractor is sitting around warm and unattended which is very inviting if you’re a bird.
Interestingly enough we have never had a nest in the Valtra, and wonder if it’s got something to do with the design? 🤷‍♀️
Anyway, happy tractoring!

Definitely getting the reps in on this job. Building a 4 run dog enclosure with deer netting. My method is to tie a termination knot for every wire in the netting roll at each end and crimp it all together.

If it weren’t for your gumboots, where would ya be? 🎶

In my case… still stuck in the paddock, apparently. 😂

Good thing Daniel and the tractor were on hand for the rescue 🚜

Struggling to Reach an Overgrown Drain?

Our long-reach excavator is built for the areas standard machinery can’t easily access.

Blocked, overgrown or poorly maintained drains can cause water pooling, erosion and ongoing problems across rural properties.

The extended boom on our long-reach excavator allows us to work across banks, drains and difficult-access areas without needing to position the machine directly beside the work zone.

It is ideal for:

✔ Drain clearing and maintenance
✔ Waterway excavation
✔ Sediment removal
✔ Bank and slope work
✔ Environmental projects

Need a practical solution for a hard-to-reach area? Let’s take a look at the site and recommend the best approach.

The mad Mac!
The latest of my mad scientist ideas, I had an old McCullough PM 700 that I thought,
I wonder if I could mount this to a mate gear box?
With a lot of help and expertise from Pederson engineering it’s now a thing!

And no, it does not suit rocky ground. Sometimes you just need a spade and a crowbar.

It’s official! We have a website!

Only taken us 5 years 😅

Head on over to https://www.dwfencing.co.nz

Daniel started DW Fencing & Rural services with his partner Troye in 2020 when they returned to the Manawatu after spending 7 years on the east coast of the North Island. They settled in Feilding, and have been growing their business since.
