Sunday we attended the NZCF National Cat show 2026 in Christchurch hosted by CABCC.
Was a great show, very well organized and well run. Also an incredible venue at Wigram Air Force museum.
We had just one cat entered. Thor is a stunning black silver shaded male 1.5 years old and this is only his 2nd show. Thor made us proud by receiving a 3rd Best in Show in the precedious National ring judged by Kit Fung.

On Sunday we lost our first Mainecoon. Maineflame Blue Icecoon aka Chilli was our big beautiful pet boy. He was only 9 years and died suddenly of a heart attack. It was one hell of a shock.
Shows the importance of historical HCM testing and scanning to ensure we are only breeding from quality stock. Ensure when you are looking at getting a pet that you are asking your breeder about what testing they undertake.... RIP Big Chilli

We at Highglow Cattery have a couple of beautiful boys available for adoption.

We have a stunning chocolate boy who is 12 weeks old, already double vaccinated and neutered so his bags are packed and he is ready to find his new family. Chocolate is full ofr energy and playful. He would make a lovely addition to any family.
