Here goes - wish me luck-Welcome to Hairy Monsters! Hairy Monsters is a full pet grooming service for your dog, cat and even your bunny rabbit. If you have found that your pet's coat has got a wee bit beyond you, I am here to help. I am happy to work with you and teach you basic grooming and clippering techniques. My service differs a little from other grooming services in that you are welcome to stay with your pooch if you wish. You may participate in your pet's care or offer comfort and reassurance to your wee dog. If you have bought a set of clippers (and many of my customers have) and are unsure how to use them - bring them too.
Grooming rates are reasonable, and in some cases may be waived. Rescued dogs are attended to free of charge. Leave your pooch with me for the day to play with my two little dogs in the garden (can be arranged). Larger breeds, not catered for at the moment, but soon hopefully. Pets are attended to based on need.
Now a little about me. I have been preparing for the role of pet groomer for a number of years. To gain all the necessary skills and experience I have volunteered to work in kennels, catteries, SPCA and in small animal rescue sanctuaries. Formal qualifications include National Certificate in Animal Care, Veterinary Nursing and Dog and Animal Grooming. I am also a Registered Nurse.
My Grooming service is new to the area (there are a few who know me already). Perhaps the Hairy Monster family will be as welcome here as in Dunedin!
