"With nearly 20 years in the Building and Civil Works Industries, I have had my fair share of Compliance situations. I became a Dairy Farmer 11 years ago and was horrified at the penalties Farmers were incurring with the new law changes, staff law suits, and non compliance. I flew into action helping out a lot of Dairy Farmers designing their personal Health and Safety manuals, Tr

aining all staff, Identifying all the farm Hazards, Reporting and Recording processes. I'm sure they sleep better at night knowing they have put this effort in. Since starting up my business I have had customers from the Trucking industry, Civil Contractors, Veterinary Centres, Dairy and Beef farmers, Event centres, to helping guys with their Quarry certifications. This year I have been involved with some major accidents on farms with Worksafe investigations and mitigation. Very stressful time for all involved.
Remember quad bikes aren't toys. With friends and family visiting the farms over the Christmas break, they all like to jump on the quad and go for a ride. Farmers have had 3 deaths with quad bike roll overs in the last week in New Zealand. Such sad times for these families. Please look after your family and friends, stay safe and have a great Christmas.
