Holiday programme Pony Camp Day 4..... Our final day 😊 today we covered the different disciplines you get, done our very own show jumping competition to learn about strides. We learnt about the many different breeds of horses, waaay to many to cover them all tho 😅 but we covered the most common ones found in New Zealand😋 Also the different markings and colours horses come in. Went on an epic scavenger hunt and where lucky enough to see the race horses practice around the track 😁and pretty much just enjoyed our last day. We where all pretty nackered by the end🤣😅 Thank you to everyone who participated in LSA's pony camp see you next time 🤠🤗

Holiday programme pony camp day 3
Today we focused on team work and being able to work together. We also went into more detail about our tack and equipment that we need and how to use it correctly and how to put everything together and the correct placement of our tack. We also learnt about the difference between a rise and trot as well as a sitting trot. The students loved being able to do a trot and where very excited to be able to go faster😋

Pony Camp holiday programme day 2 😊Today we focused on the importance of balance and how to correctly use your legs,body and hands to turn your horse. The importance of how to use your seat and sit correctly on the horse and what happens when you dont. They where able to learn this through our "be the pony game", this game helps the students gain a clear understanding of what a horse actually feels when you ride them and the importance of all the above. The students loved being able to experience the movements of the horses back in our ba****ck session this correlated with Balance, balance and more balance 😋Leading a horse seems simple but our obstacle course proved to say otherwise, thus us learning how to lead correctly and work as a team and how to move as one with our horse 💕

Day one of holiday programme pony camp continued 😊.... Some fun in the sun learning how to lead and be a part of a team. Today was all about strengthening those legs with no stirrups to build up their leg muscles.We also focused on how to sit properly and how to use their bodies and legs correctly 😊
