Arion Farm Education Park is a facility run by the National Trade Academy at McLeans Island, Christchurch that allows children to see, touch and feed a variety of farm animals. Children can hand feed animals, learn about the breeds in a natural environment. Donkey and pony rides are available and a picnic and play area with shelter and shade is provided. The park and/or party hut is also available
for birthday parties and corporate functions. The farm is one of the few facilities in the country to focus solely on New Zealand farm animals and farming heritage. Children can learn about farm animals, their history and contribution to the New Zealand Economy. Our school holiday programme (Farmer for a Day) is available for parents wanting to give their children an invaluable experience in animal handling and care. Feed for animals $2.50 a cup, pony rides $5 11am-12pm & 1pm-2pm. Family Pass of 2 adults 2 children 1 feed $44 or 2 adults 3 children 1 feed for $49. Arion Farm is a fun, affordable activity for all children and a good safe place to come where parents can relax! Arion Farm Education Park is open 7 days per week, 10am – 3pm, except Christmas Day.
