How we came about.....
Christmas 2017 and my daughter Samantha had decided to buy a Viszla puppy as a surprise Chrissy Pressy for her partner Rob. Enter Dad, who was working in South Otago and daughter arranged for Dad to pick up puppy from Wanaka and bring him to our home till Christmas Eve. Robs face was absolutely awash when Sam bought Puppy out in a ribbon wrapped box and gave it to him - clas
sic! They decided to name the Pup Mac. Macs first few months were bad. He had caught Giardia the first week at home and nearly died. And was sick on and off for the next 12 months. When he was cold he shivered violently so Sam asked me to make him a polar fleece coat to keep him warm. He loved them! He has skin allergies from grass seeds and the coats help protect his skin when out and about so he has quite a collection. He s funny, loving, snuggly boy who has wormed his way into our families hearts and we would nt have him any other way! After a few people started asking Sam where she had got the coats, we decided to start a Facebook business and Mac-dog Coats was born. I draft the pattern up from the individuals dogs measurements and then sew them after work and on weekends. This year (2019) has been really busy and is showing no signs of waning yet. I always ask for 2 weeks for delivery after payment and order is made, but often I get them done sooner so dont be surprised if they show up in your letterbox fairly quickly. I stand by my product and I will rectify any problems at no cost if its something I ve done wrong. But if its because the customer has measured wrong, I will charge a fee for the repairs or changes plus postage.
