Well, if I was upset and angry about this yesterday, you can probably imagine how I’m feeling today 😡

I’ve put in another report. The form is a bit long, but I really encourage anyone who has had their photos taken and posted on their page to do the same.

You can report it as an intellectual property violation. I’ve had to do this in the past too, and the more people who report their stolen content, the better.

Just a wee reminder to be careful of some of the pages you follow and share 💕

Unfortunately there are pages out there that use sad stories to get reactions, shares and followers and some of those stories aren’t even real.

I recently became aware of a page, (thanks to Monty The Naughty Cockatiel sharing about it,) that had stolen a photo of Willow and posted it saying that he had died 😢 Seeing my own bird used in a fake death post was honestly horrible. Willow is very much alive and well!

Looking through the page, the content appeared to be a mix of AI-generated and stolen images, all paired with emotional stories designed to pull at people’s heartstrings.

Before sharing a heartbreaking post, have a wee look at the page first. Check whether the photos seem consistent, whether the same animals actually appear regularly, and whether the stories seem genuine.

Sadly, not every “please pray for my baby” or heartbreaking rescue story online is real. Some people know that animal lovers have big hearts, and they use that to grow pages. 😔

Please be careful what you share and if you ever see one of my birds being used by another page with a story attached to them, let me know. 💕
