Kia Ora!
I’m Talia and I’m 20 years old. Last year I started my own business, specialising in Housesitting, Dog walking and other pet services. Since my business has begun, I’ve had lots of experience with a large range of animals, breeds, sizes and special requirements/needs.
👩🏼About me:
Currently I am studying a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning (Primary) at the University of Canterbury. Fortunately I am able to be reasonably flexible due to my course making this a great job for me! When I’m not studying, playing netball or hanging out with my friends, I like to spend time with animals. Which is why I have begun my own pet services business!
I have two cats of my own, so I know how comforting it is to have someone you trust look after your pets in THEIR home rather then sending them to a cattery.
I love my job as it benefits myself, you and your pet/s. Currently I live at home, so being able to house sit is great as I get to experience independent living while looking after your gorgeous pet/s. As well as keeping your pets in a safe, caring and comfortable environment.
Services:
I am located in Beckenham, Christchurch. There may be a small travel cost if you live far away (this can be discussed)
Before confirming any jobs, I like to have a meet and greet. This allows me to get all the extra details as well as check that it’s a good fit for you, me and your pet/s. This also allows them to get more comfortable with me while you are around, making the process easier and more comfortable for your animals.
🏡Housesitting: $40 a night
I tend to housesit with my long-term partner Loki. He works full time in construction and is the biggest animal lover! He is super trustworthy, respectful and tends to just come along for the animals 😊.
- I will come to your house at the time requested with a text to confirm my arrival.
- I will feed your pets as instructed.
- This price includes a walk (length as discussed)
- I will make sure to keep you updated with lots of messages, videos and photos. (If you want!)
- I promise your pets will receive lots of attention, cuddles, company and playing time from myself.
- I am happy to do any other jobs such as, watering plants, bringing in mail, bins, etc.
- I will make sure to leave your house as tidy IF NOT tidier when you return home. Along with happy animals!
🐕🦺Dog walking:
I am a very active person, who loves walking. Living in Christchurch we are surrounded by beautiful scenery and a variety of places to walk, depending on your pets needs I can cater to them.
Pricing: ($5 extra per extra dog)
$20 (upto a 30min walk)
$30 (40min to 1hr walk)
This service includes:
-Picking up your dog at the time booked, using a key or code system or we discussed to enter.
-I will take your dog for a walk (time discussed). I am happy to walk your dog in areas you would like, otherwise I will happily take them to one of the many walks around Christchurch.
- I will keep your dog on a leash, unless stated otherwise. I will never take your dog off the leash unless you and I are both comfortable with this. (On a the first walk I tend to keep your dog on a leash majority of the time, so they can become familiar with me and I can learn about their behaviour)
- I can send you updates with photos/messages. (If wanted!)
- Once the walk has concluded I will drop your dog back at home.
- I will check their water bowls are full and I can feed them or give them treats if instructed.
- I will ensure your house is locked, your animal/s are secure and safe. Leaving the key in a safe, secure spot as discussed.
🐈⬛Drop ins: $20 for 30 minute drop in
(multiple hour drop in prices can be discussed)
- I will arrive at your house, enter house via key/code, etc as discussed.
- I can feed your pet if instructed.
- I will give my full attention to your pet, play with them, cuddle, give them company or simply let them outside for a p*e and run around. (Depending on your pets wants and needs)
- Once the time is up, I will ensure your house is locked, your animal/s are secure and safe. Leaving the key in a safe, secure spot as discussed.
