Looking for a family friendly event this weekend that gets you out of the cold weather? This weekend Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August is the Canterbury All Breeds Cat Club 2025 show in Christchurch. Located 5 Michelle Road in Wigram, open to the public from 10am each day.

Here you'll get to see all kinds of cats, pat and talk to the owners in the cuddle corner, and come see us - Purr. Meow. Woof. have our annual stand there with all kinds of cat goodies available!

Our wee Miss, who passed away 2018. Her name was Miss, and she was a kitten sized cat. She was 18 when she died which is a very good innings as the saying goes.

We have never had to make a pet memorial for any of our pets since we began Purr. Meow. Woof. in 2020, and we were waiting until the right time to make Miss her memorial.

We take a photo, and turn it into an everlasting laser engraved keepsake picture memorial. This one is resting on the raspberry bush planter that Miss was buried in - she was sweet but scratchy, much like raspberry plants.

The original plaque from this planter we got in 2018 and it went missing when we moved.

You probably have not seen our memorial plaques - we have made many of them for customers, but we have a rule that we don't show pictures of customer memorial plaques on social media out of respect. It's nice to be able to showcase what we can do and post one, considering it's our own one.

If you would like a memorial plaque for one of your pets, we have options to suit your needs, including backing for outdoor display, photo option verses no photo. Talk to us, we are happy to have a consultation about your individual situation.

Today Purr. Meow. Woof. Is ALL about the Purr and the Meow - come see us at the Canterbury All Breeds Cat Club Show in Christchurch, Caledonian Hall in Wigram.

We have all our cat favourites available for purchase, including wands, catnip and non-catnip toys, chargeable flapping toys, and a range of our cat collars. Regan is on site and is an expert in all things cat.

This is an amazing family friendly event, and a great opportunity to come and see many different breeds of cats. As an added bonus there are also kittens! There is a cuddle corner where you can pat the chillest of cats, talk to their owners, and get a photo or two.

What better way to spend a wintery day!

Sesame's developing a fondness for our littlest human, she loves to sit next to him, follow him, is moderately tolerant of him learning to be gentle with his hands. Sesame is still very fond of our big human lady - we find the two together exploring outside every day

Note: Sesame is being heavily supervised by a sober and awake adult while she sits next to the small human while he sleeps, who can intervene at any time. We do not endorse cats sleeping in babies beds or sitting on babies as it increases the risk of SUDI
