🐾 Matting Awareness – Support, Not Judgement 🐾
This coat had become so heavily matted that it was coming away in one piece, almost like a blanket.
While matting may look like tangled fur on the surface, it can be much more serious than that. Severe matting can pull tightly on the skin, cause discomfort, restrict movement, trap moisture, and sometimes hide skin conditions underneath.
But before anyone jumps to conclusions, we'd like to share something important.
Life happens.
Families get busy.
Health challenges arise.
Some dogs dislike being brushed.
And some coat types can become matted much faster than people realise.
This post is not about blame or judgement.
It's about education, awareness, and helping dogs stay comfortable.
If you're finding your dog's coat difficult to manage, please know you're not alone. Our team is always happy to help. We can recommend the right brushes and combs for your dog's coat type, demonstrate brushing techniques, and share practical tips to make coat care easier at home.
If regular grooming feels difficult to fit into the budget, we also offer Afterpay and our Angels Care Club, helping make ongoing coat maintenance more manageable while keeping your dog comfortable year-round.
The most important thing is reaching out early.
The sooner we see your dog, the more options we have to help.
🐾 Every dog deserves comfort.
🐾 Every family deserves support.
💛 A gentle reminder: Please keep comments kind and respectful. Every dog's story is different, and our goal is to support, educate, and help dogs feel their best.
If you need advice about your dog's coat, send us a message. We're always happy to help.
