Tessa Van Burggen is a full team Dressage rider / trainer based in Marlborough who travels the country teaching other competitive riders and people of all levels. She is passionate about people building their confidence with horses and within themselves.

20 + years experience within the Equine industry and many championship titles under her belt.

🩷🐴 Day 5 – Our Final Own a Pony Day! 🐴💚

What a wonderful way to finish our school holiday Own a Pony Day programme! We were lucky to spend the day with a lovely big group of enthusiastic children who brought so much energy, kindness, and excitement to the stables.

From feeding and caring for the ponies, to grooming, riding, games, and making new friends, it was another day filled with smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Watching each child grow in confidence and develop such a special bond with the ponies has been incredibly rewarding.

A huge thank you to every family who joined us over the holidays and trusted us with your children. Your support means the world, and it has been a joy sharing our love of horses with so many amazing young riders.

To all of our wonderful pony lovers—thank you for making this week’s Own a Pony Days such a huge success. We can’t wait to welcome you back for our next holiday programme. Until then, keep dreaming big and give your favourite pony an extra cuddle from us! 🩷🐴

🌟 Day 4 of our Own a Pony Day! 🌟

What a fantastic day we had at Pony Academy! ☀️ The weather was absolutely perfect, making it an incredible day to be out with the ponies.

Our wonderful group of young riders spent the day learning, laughing, riding, and building their confidence both in and out of the saddle. From grooming and caring for their ponies to enjoying lots of riding, games, and fun, it was another day filled with smiles from start to finish.

It’s so rewarding to see friendships growing, confidence blossoming, and the love these children have for the ponies shining through. 🐴💕

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today—we loved having you and can’t wait for our final Pony Day tomorrow!

🌟 Own a Pony Day – Day 3 🐴💚

Day 3 was another incredible day at Pony Academy, and what a fantastic group of young riders we had! Today was our biggest group so far, and the children brought so much enthusiasm, energy, and positivity from the moment they arrived until it was time to head home.

It was wonderful to watch every child encourage one another, step outside their comfort zones, and grow in confidence throughout the day. The teamwork, sportsmanship, and genuine love they showed for the ponies made today incredibly special.

Thank you to all of our amazing riders for bringing such fantastic attitudes and making Day 3 one to remember. We feel so lucky to spend these school holidays sharing our love of horses with such a wonderful group of children, and we can’t wait to welcome our next group for another fun-filled Own a Pony Day! 🩷🐴

What another fantastic day at Pony Academy! We were so lucky to spend the day with another wonderful group of young riders who brought so much enthusiasm, kindness, and confidence to everything they did.

It has been so rewarding watching the children grow in confidence, develop their horsemanship skills, and build new friendships along the way. Seeing the pride on their faces as they achieve new things is exactly what these days are all about.

A huge thank you to all of today’s riders for making Day 2 so special, and to the parents for trusting us with your children. We can’t wait to do it all again with our next Own a Pony Day! 🩷

🐴✨ Day 1 of 5 – Own a Pony Days ✨🐴

What a fantastic start to our school holiday Own a Pony Day programme!

Today we had seven wonderful girls join us for a fun-filled day with the ponies.
While Marlborough didn’t exactly turn on the sunshine for us, the rain certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits!
The girls showed so much dedication, enthusiasm, and love for their ponies, and it was lovely to watch such a beautiful group of children build new friendships throughout the day.

A huge thank you to all the girls who came along and made today so special. We loved having you!

A very special thank you also goes to our super groom, Jax, for all of your amazing help today. From finishing the stable jobs in the pouring rain to keeping everyone smiling with your great sense of humour, we couldn’t have done it without you.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone again on Thursday for Day 2 of our Own a Pony Days.
