We’re really stoked to be supporting the FMG Young Farmer of the Year 🐑🐄🏆

The big event is almost here (3-5 July), so when our Otago/Southland Regional Young Farmers grand finalist Cam Smith visited the Invercargill clinic recently, our team couldn’t resist grabbing a quick snap with him.

On Monday 30th June and Tuesday 1st July, some of our clinics will have reduced hours to allow our team to complete stocktake. We appreciate your understanding while we undertake this work.

This week is National Volunteer Week (15 – 21 June 2025), where we get to celebrate all the incredible volunteers in our community and the amazing work they do! Volunteering plays such a vital role in so many ways, strengthening the fabric of our community and weaving our people together 🪢

Did you know over half of New Zealanders volunteer? 👏👏👏

Hats off to our own VetSouth team, who alongside their day jobs volunteer outside of work in many different capacities - from local school boards, committees and sports clubs, to Land Search and Rescue (LandSAR), FENZ, Youthline Southland, DOC board, Alzheimer's Southland and much more.

🚨 Cuteness alert! 🚨

Our staff came flying out of the nooks and crannies of the Gore clinic when these gorgeous fluffy puppies came in for a visit. They were checked over, given their vaccinations and worming tablets, and thoroughly snuggled ❤️

How cool to have some curious kindy kids in clinic! 🥰

Dr Dave got to spend time with the children of Waihopai Playcentre at VetSouth Invercargill this week.

The little ones peeked behind the scenes, talked about what animals vets look after, got dressed up in scrubs, looked at some animal bones and teeth, practiced bandaging and listening with a stethoscope, and patted Speckles the hen and Lola the bunny 🐓🐇
