In 2019 I qualified in New Zealand Certificate in Canine Behaviour and Training, and as a life-long dog-lover, (and animal-lover in general), I am excited to offer completely force-free dog walking and pet services. With the focus on the dogs' wellbeing and happiness, I pride myself in using no aversives when on walks - just encouragement, praise, treats - and fun! Only small groups of dogs are wa

lked at a time, maximum four, as I believe this is less stressful and more enjoyable for the dogs. Like us, dogs have individual personalities and therefore individual needs as well. If your dog has a special requirement or would benefit from one-on-one training walks, please don't hesitate to ask. I provide home pick-up, transport to a park to run, play, swim and sniff, then drop them back home, relaxed and ready for a rest. If an on-leash street walk is more appropriate for your dog I am happy to do that too. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or requests, and if your other non-human family members need feeding, minding, or cuddles, then please get in touch as well.

Zoo animals..featuring Opal. She has 3 more weeks of only 35 minute onleash walks which must include going up & down stairs. And more exercises. Hoping for more freedom after that.We are both really looking forward to some long walks in nature where she can run & leap & explore🐅

A little collection of pictures of Tui, very sensitive, sweet girl who has been having some extra walks lately. She was unfortunately involved in 2 dog attacks in the past year💔 Understandably it takes time for the trauma to heal but luckily she has a very supportive and loving family. She can be quite anxious but is always cheerful and enthusiastic on her walks. She is also very quick to catch on if you teach her a new trick..it helps that she is a big foodie😋

A reminder to all the dog parents out there: *don't*✋️🛑 give your dogs bones or antlers to chew!! Opal had a badly fractured upper carnassial tooth, which is like a big molar but made for tearing flesh. I (regretfully), thought "she's a bully and loves to chew, she'll be ok with bones"🫠 The tooth was cracked with the broken piece only just attached at the gum. She was at the vet clinic for the day. Many thanks to the lovely team at who took great care of Opal as usual, and especially Dr Emma who had to wrangle the tooth out, which was not easy!!🫨
1st pic was the evening after the extraction. Her paws were really cold..an effect from the anaesthetic which can lower the core body temperature so that the extremities feel cold. So I cranked up the heat and wrapped her in blankets. It has been a difficult week for Opal..her mouth has been quite sore, even with the pain relief, and she clearly misses chewing things - 2nd pic is her snoozing with her hoof and goat horn, just in case! 3rd pic is my attempt to photograph the area because she wouldn't let Dr Jess look at it for her check up😮‍💨 She's gradually letting me lift up her lip for a treat each time, so 🤞 I'll get a better picture tomorrow 📸

Our newest family member, 7 months old Santino, who has only been with us for 2 months but is already loved so much. It only took a week for him and Opal to co-exist nicely and a short time after to become actual friends. Thanks to his predecessor, our special Bijou, who helped teach puppy Opal how to live with a cat.
I have been more than a little anxious getting a new kitten, worried something will happen to him, so he wears a collar and tag when he's outside, and the cat doors are locked when we go to bed. He is so far not so confident and independant as Bijou, and seems to want to stay close by, although he loves the outdoors.
Many thanks to for taking such good care of Santino - he was found, very sick, with his siblings, living under a house. He was recommended as a slightly older and bigger kitten to be suitable for living with a big dog, and he really is perfect😍🥰

A post because I never made one about these two and now they're both gone. So to help with the grief process and also to appreciate how special they both were.
Lumi🤍 and her doting (and persistant), side-kick, Bijou🧡
Lumi was very cat sociable so Bijou was adopted specifically to be her friend. Bijou relentlessly forced her affections on Lumi who at first was annoyed and harsh but soon gave in and did engage in lots of wrestling and chasing. Not all the sleepy cuddles were enjoyed by Lumi but she tolerated it.
The very last picture is the cats watching (a little shocked), the new family member, 11 week old puppy, Opal.

🖤His cheery enthusiasm for wherever we go: In the car? Cool! Just walking? Ok, let's go!😀
🖤His love of his ball..I've got a big Liker one so his teeth can sink in but he can't destroy it..He is also cheerful about dropping it so I can throw it again
🖤His slobber - it's impressive!🤤 & quite adorable when it accidently flicks onto his head😂 Amazing too, how it can coat the whole ball🫨
🖤His ability to drink water..he can drain a whole bowl with awesome lapping sounds😛
