It was a pleasure hosting Local Football Team
taking time in our māra to add some strength and conditioning training to their practice.

Compost flipping is not for the faint of heart with a total workout around rotational core, back and glutes to help with stability, endurance and reduced risk of of injury going into the season.

We're excited to announce that we will be hosting an event with the Migrant Conservation Program (MCP) and New Zealand Language Centre (NZLC), next Friday 21st Feb at 3pm.

There are spaces available for members of the public, to join people from the NZLC school in a community working bee.

You will be joining us to help with tasks like seeding, planting, propagation, weeding, mulching, and composting. Hope to see you there!

About MCP:
"The MCP aims to connect participants to each other, their local community and to te taiao (the natural world). New migrants can work side by side with long-time Aucklanders they might otherwise have never met. These kanohi te kanohi (face to face) experiences strengthen community and help migrants feel welcome. The MCP also helps migrants gain new skills and experiences through hands-on conservation volunteering. "

The Migrant Conservation programme aims to connect new migrants to their communities to help develop connection with nature and neighbours.

Happy 2025 from the farmers of the NZ Ethnic Women's Trust !! 🥳🎉

We've left the weeds to keep growing and feeding our soils 🪱 and pollinators 🦋 while we rest 💤 🌞

Did you know many common weeds have medicinal uses? Nature didnt invent weeds, humans did! So let's change our perspective and welcome the gifts nature gives us. 💝

We can't wait to get back into farming in February! In the meantime, feel free to come visit our beautifully weedy garden 💚🌿
