Everyone is a little impatient around here today! You gotta love the cheekiness of miss daisy who learnt from a young age how to get herself into the feeder the cows are very unimpressed 🤣

It’s been a wee while between post, has been very quiet around here. We have finally got some rain which means mud again 🤣 either rock hard or soaking up here. We have just been out feeding everyone and thought it would be the perfect time to share photos of wet muddy sheep and horses 🙂 We put our 2 pet sheep in with the horses, number # 9 aka Timmy with the smile is not really sure if he is horse,dog or sheep he quiet the character! The horses are being very tolerant even sharing their food with the sheep

A wee update from us here in North Canterbury, It’s so brown and dry it’s scary! There was another fire in the district last night :( we need some rain, this time last year we had a creek running through our paddocks. I have just been out to check on everyone, the sheep and cows have been enjoying their balage the little lambs have even figured out how to use the hay feeder jumping up on it 😂 my silkie chicks are getting big and fluffy, Luna our ragdoll has found her new favourite past time ( chicken watching ) as long as she sticks to watching il be happy! Cherry our guinue fowl has been sitting on a nest for a couple of days so hopefully so more babies around the place soon 🐣 on the upside with this heat my pumpkins and melons have been growing so well, hopefully fresh melons soon 🍉

Wee hazel is growing so quickly she is a very quiet sweet lamb was nice for the boys to have a snuggle with her 🥰

Shearing day thank goodness it has been so hot and dry here! They are definitely harder to tell apart without their coats on, but I’m sure they feel a lot better 😊

Beautiful evening for some gardening and hanging out with the lambs. They are growing really fast ! Natures w**d mat ( sheep’s wool - works a treat )

Today was a busy day picking up and
carting 550 bales of hay, we got a nice surprise when we got home, Rose had a very cute wee lamb beside her meet Hazel ( had to have hay in the name ) I had been so busy today hadn’t seen any signs it was happening. Both look healthy and happy 🙂

Yay Duke has found a pet home he is about to start his journey to Timaru he has been a pleasure to have around and one of the cutest lambs we have had 🥰

Anyone would mistake it for spring here… cute baby animals taking over the place ( we are going to have chickens coming out of our ears! All hens either have babies or sitting nest here ) hoping everyone is enjoying there holidays and keeping safe out there 🙂

Well that was a nice surprise not 1 but 2 lambs! And one is a little ewe 😁
