This is a story of 'Jojo', a 4 years old local breed dog, who remained unvaccinated against RABIES till date until it died. The dog was completely staying at home with no history of dog bite or dog fight, which the owner felt vaccination not necessary for the dog.
The dog was presented at our clinic in a semi-conscious state, dilated pupil, tachycardia, open mouth beathing, self-injured and stiff neck which happened all of a sudden in the morning as per the owner's statement.
Based on the history and clinical presentation, we suspected of rabies infection in that dog which we further confirmed using a rapid test kit for 'Rabies Antibody' from a serum sample.
**The result that the test kit showed really thrilled all of us.**

Case of pyothorax:
A cat, 1.5 years old, was presented with labored (open mouth) breathing persisted since a day ago. A radiograph of thorax showed pleural effusion and upon thoracocentesis at the level of 7th and 8th intercostal space, the pus mixed with blood was drained out from thorax. With the continuity of the procedure supported with nebulization and antibiotic therapy for 5 days, the cat is getting great recovery.
