AMC is planning to organize a conference via ZOOM for final year veterinary students in Nepal. Conference will include topics related to clinical practice in pets as requested by many recent graduates. We kindly request all representatives from veterinary student associations (AFU, HICAST, NPI & TU) to contact Dr. Sushil Paudel (9843544022/[email protected]) for topic of interest and appropriate date and time confirmation. AMC is always striving to share knowledge with the young vets to achieve our common goal to uplift the standard of veterinary practice in Nepal.

“ALWAYS SAY YES TO ADOPT LOCAL PUPPIES / DOGS” If not “SAY NO TO PUPPIES LESS THAN 8 WEEKS"

We have seen lots of clients are getting puppies as Small as 3 weeks, it breaks you're heart to see that many don't make it and becomes immunocompromised and end up with viral diseases or remain weak throughout their life.

Why a puppy needs to stay with its mother at least for 8 weeks
* will be strong medically
* teach manners which humans can't
* correction of bad behavior
* teaching of respect other dogs
* anger management is taken care of
* taking care of separation anxiety
* mother will growl and snap at the puppy to make it fall in line
* happy puppy with less behavior issues, as already the human anxiety is being channelled to dogs.
* proper weaning and more acceptability to top feeding.

“SAY NO TO PUPPIES LESS THAN 8 WEEKS."

Hello everyone !!
The whole world is having hard time . In this situation it’s extremely difficult to transport dogs / cats ( owned / homeless) to the hospital. Over the phone consultation is one option but unfortunately not all the time we are lucky enough to diagnose and treat just listening to few symptoms, sometime it can be misleading ( animals can’t speak and tell us the exact condition) and wrong diagnosis may lead to wrong treatment and worst outcome. But again we can’t deny the fact that something is better than nothing. You can call us for advice keeping in mind that the advice you will get is not going to help 100% .

### we ask you to bring your pet to us for proper diagnosis and treatment as we consider him / her as your family member. It’s not to give you trouble ####

*******BE CAREFUL EVERYONE************

Do not use modified alcohol or sanitizer / sanitizer gel on the coat of our animals. Your pet may end up with skin burns and even they can get collapsed if they lick it.

You want to clean your animals when you get back from a walk, use water and soap and rinse well then! **** THATS THE BEST*****

EVEN THOUGH THERE IS 3 REPORTED CASE OF COVID -19 TRANSMISSION TO PETS BUT THERE IS NO REPORTED TRANSMISSION OF COVID-19 FROM PETS TO HUMAN. We don’t need to get scared , at least lets keep our pets inside with us and feed one homeless hungry animal in-front of our house........That will make a huge difference in this time of crisis.

Animal Medical Centre has an amazing staff and is exceptionally clean. We especially appreciate Dr. Sushil's attention to detail, gentle nature with bella and fast responsiveness! We received lab results and a surgery quote the next day.. Bella thoroughly enjoyed her visit and Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will suggest to all family and friends!” 5/5
Happy Dashain to Animal Medical Centre and entire Team.
Let us introduce you to Kushi. He is the most loyal and sweet dog ever. We met him at Animal Medical Centre while visiting Dr. Sushil for a cat emergency. Kushi adopted us and followed us everywhere. He even ran beside the car for kilometers (no one drives fast in Kathmandu) to stay with us. Unfortunately, we cannot keep him at Shenpen as our staff already look after many animals. We are feeding and watering him and expect to vaccine and spay him as soon as possible, but are looking for a loving and forever home for him. We highly recommend him. Please, DM or email us ([email protected]) if you are interested in meeting him or if you know someone who would like to adopt him. With Gwenaelle Witt-Dörring
Dear Dr. Sushil, Two or three years ago I imported a German Shepherd, male, from Nepal to the USA. The original owners are Nima Rinchen and Nima Dorje Sherpa from the bus park above Kapan, ... Paintar (I forget the exact name off the area). I have the dog's original import papers. Problem is, on a windy day our gate blew open and Drake and two of his daughters went out roaming. The two girls were found near our house, but Drake was not with them. We have called around and advertised. Sometimes people take found dogs to the vet for identification. Usually these chips have a name, address, and phone number of the owner. The vet's office told us that in order for them to exchange information between the people who found the dog and the people who lost the dog, the chip has to be registered with the manufacturer of the chip. If that chip is not already registered with the manufacturer, I don't mind to contact them to do that, but I need to know the manufacturer of the chip. Do you know which company manufactured the chips you use? Drake's chip number is 524 000 000 000 314. I hope you can help me with this strange request? If you need any more information such as the dog's health papers from you clinic, export papers, or anything else I can send you what I have. Thank you,Sincerely,Fran Sherpa [email protected] Anyone, please advise Dr. Sushil that this message was posted, I'm not sure the messages go through, and he might not see these pages? Thanks for your help!
Hello there, could you please tell me how much does it cost for spaying a street dog? what kind of medicines do you use before, during and after an operation? what could be the overall cost including medicines and an operation cost?
do you have an email address to discuss a dog that was in your care? i am in the US so calling international is very expensive.
